Jerry Falwell annouced today the rebirth of the Moral Majority to specifically work towards a Fundamentalist President for 2008. I'm not sure whether to worry that they might succeed, or that he doesn't consider Bush dogmatic enough to be a fundamentalist president right now.

Might as well post it here.
Earlier today, Someone made a claim to me that the red states (meaning the states that voted for Bush) should be allowed to dictate the morals of this country since they have the lowest divorce and crime rates in the country. So, I did a little research and found out some things. This is a graph of divorce rate per thousand total residents in each state. Data for these graphs can be found at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Just type in divorce rate in the search box for the data. Here is a pdf file of the data. This is the divorce rate in 2002.
This is the divorce rate in 1990.
The red states are states that voted for Bush. Blue states are states voted for Kerry. Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon and Utah are states that approved anti-same-sex marriage amendments by double digits. Notice something? Since it took me so freaking long to type in the data by hand into excel and made graphs out of them, I'm going to do the crime rate graphs later.

Well, I plotted the murder rates state by state in 2002. Nothing much came out of it because you can see that they're pretty scattered around. If you look carefully, the blue are more concentrated in the bottom and the red are more concentrated on the top. Not much though.

The debt is going up only because we are not getting as much money in. Execpt for the war in Iraq, Bush is actually spending less than Clinton ever did, ther's just not enough money coming in to even fund this lower budget. We could get more taxes if we stopped outsourcing, somthing that almost all of the factories that kerry owns are.

And your point is? Conseritives murder more? Ya right. Even if murder rates in certin states are higher because of republicans, you are not including the babys murdered with there heads out with a pair of scissors and a vacume the you liberals do.
