I'm sure most everyone has noticed the ability of new born babies to hold on to your finger if it is placed in the baby’s palm. In fact, some babies can be lifted completely up because they can hold on so tight. Learned people such as doctors, scientists, etc. say this is not a voluntary response but an instinctive response. In other words babies don't know they are doing it. My question is why do human babies need this type of response? Where did it come from? Human babies do not need to hold on to their mothers as baby monkeys do to keep from falling out of a tree. Our mothers hold on to us.
If we humans were created separately from non human animals there would be no need for this instinctive reaction of holding on.

Welcome to EvC
Welcome to EvC ruko,
Glad you decided to add to our diversity. We have a wide variety of forums for your debating pleasure, but I warn you it can become habit forming. Purple
We prefer that new members participate in existing threads and get some constructive posting under their belt before originating a new topic. I will hold this topic request open for a week. This will give you time to participate and familiarize yourself with the EvC board.
In the purple signature box below, you'll find some links that will help make your journey here pleasant.
Pay particular attention to our Forum Guidelines and all will go well.
Again welcome and happy debating.

Usually, in a well-conducted debate, speakers are either emotionally uncommitted or can preserve sufficient detachment to maintain a coolly academic approach.-- Encylopedia Brittanica, on debate

Topic Not Promoted
Since the originator did not return, this topic is not going to be promoted. Although there was interest expressed by another member, the interest has waned without the originator to counter comments.
Unless there is a strong desire by more than one person for this topic to go forward without an originator, this topic will be closed.
I will leave it open until tomorrow to allow for responses.
