Why do some atheists try to disprove God to other people?
Why do some Christians try to prove God to other people?
Atheists: Some try to disprove that God exists to other people.
Christians: Some try to prove that God exists to other people.
What I want to know, is why do either side try to prove or disprove God?
I believe in God and I don't think it's right to tell someone else that doesn't believe in God, that he exists. If they don't want to believe, that's fine with me.
If you're an atheist, I don't think it's right to try and tell a Christian that God doesn't exist.
Think about it. If I were to try and tell Richard Dawkins (famous atheist) that God exists, he would either laugh or just walk away right?
If an atheist were to try and tell Pat Robertson (famous Christian) that God doesn't exist, do you think he would believe that person?
So what is the point for either side?
If someone wants to believe in God, shouldn't they be able to without someone criticizing them or telling them different?
Same goes with atheists, shouldn't they be able to not believe without someone criticizing them or telling them different?
It just irritates me that people (Christian or not) try to make others believe what they want them to believe.
What are your thoughts?
Also, I'm not here to fight, just to simply understand.
"For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved"- John 3:17
If God didn't create the universe, then how did it just get here?
