I have mentioned this man occasionally in my posts and I was shocked to learn that he passed away last August.
For those who enjoy the mysteries of the human conscious process and the ways in which we can be fooled without really knowing it this website here

will introduce you to the mind and works of a gentleman of great talent and a wonderful sense of fun.
Here's to you Jerry... for all the fun. Thanks ever so much.

Photo of the "box" etc.
I have a photo of the "box" that I clipped out of OMNI magazine many years ago. I also have the disc from the same source. It is suitable for spinning on a record turntable.

I live in the same town as Jerry. I became aquainted many years ago with his brother George through our mutual interest in photography. They were both a couple of interesting charactors. They lived a good life!

Bump - How about getting the guys name into the topic title?
Edited by AdminAsgara, 01-17-2008 07:59 AM: title typo
I noticed the typo yesterday, but I thought I'd leave the repairs to Sidelined.
So, Mr. Lined, how about putting a name (and perhaps "magician" or "illusionist" or something) into the topic title?

It really helps moderators figure out if a topic is disintegrating because of general misbehavior versus someone in particular if the originally non-misbehaving members kept it that way. When everyone is prickly and argumentative and off-topic and personal then it's just too difficult to tell. We have neither infinite time to untie the Gordian knot, nor the wisdom of Solomon.
There used to be a comedian who presented his ideas for a better world, and one of them was to arm everyone on the highway with little rubber dart guns. Every time you see a driver doing something stupid, you fire a little dart at his car. When a state trooper sees someone driving down the highway with a bunch of darts all over his car he pulls him over for being an idiot.
Please make it easy to tell you apart from the idiots. Source
