The death penalty is a punishment for someone who has been convicted of a crime. (I'm not actually for the death penalty)But that's not the case in these example. What we have here is people defending themselves.People have to be allowed to defend themselves even to the point of killing the person who's harming them. Why?

If you admonish people when they start being irresponsible, then it doesn't have to come to people being unintentionally shot.Gun safety is both easy and effective if you follow the rules. Being lax about those rules being broken is not something I've advocated.

Don't forget, there is no mountain of innocent bodies too high to clamber over, no lake of innocent blood too wide to cross, in the defence of a gun enthusiast's right to his gun.In the context of that kind of world view, admonishment is sadly a consistent line of thought.
