Now Invader Scooch proposes his second topic OF DOOM!
Anywho, in my first topic I touched on the state of change that the Universe is entrapped in (if you haven't read it you need to before proceeding to read this topic).
To set up the next topic, I must set up an anecedote for it. (I love anecedotes!)
Say there is a shelf in a room, any room. If no one puts anything on it, or takes something off it, it will inevitably gather dust.
Dust, as many know, are various small particles of mineral and organic matter that float around in almost every square centimeter of the air we breath.
Say if we left a room be for half a decade (50 years). When someone finally gets a reason to go in said room, dust will be all over the floor, desk, shelves, bed; scattered on any and all surfaces it possibly can be on. The one who opens it up will be suprised at how much dust there is (I was when we cleaned out my Grandparent's house).
However, all that dust is just a ga-zillion minute particles piling on top of each other. Essentially, we can call the minute particle the basic unit of dust.
Amazingly enough, we can correlate this anecedote with the process of Evolution.
The basic definition of Evolution is changes in a species over generations. Essentially whenever two animals love each other and produce another individual, the new individual shares traits of the parents, yet will ultimately be (whether greatly or minutely) a different animal from the parent; sometimes even upsurping old genetics buried in the line for centuries (especially in the cases of inbreeding in a small population).
Many Creation Supporters will point out that it is irrefutable that 'micro-evolution' produced variation among Galapagos Finches and Tortoises (to name a few), but when it comes to changes producing whole groups, such as whales, dinosaur/birds, synapsids/mammals to name a few, they try to separate it into the impossible Macro-evolution.
However, like dust, the Macro-evolution is just an accumalation of the basic unit of Evolution over eons of time. One speck of dust is meaningless to most (except the psychotic clean freaks) but 50 year's of dust is ignored by few.
Macro-evolution is just a drawn out version of Micro-evolution.
However, we can see the simptomes but we do not have a great understanding of the whole illness. As in almost everything, the best way to understand what is happening is to start at the basic unit.
Take my gaming hobby for example. If I was attempting to teach a friend a compicated game, I would try to summarize it into a basic unit, a basic concept. As in Catan, I would summarize it as by trading resources, building settlements and cities, and sometimes buying development cards you can gain ten victory points and win the game. There. One scentence.
Now, having people that are smarter than me on the forum, undoubtedly I am sure we can collectively produce the single dust particle of evolution. What is the basic unit?
Since Evolution starts with live, we can deduce by looking at the basic units of life we can get a good hint.
A good place to look is the recent out break of 'super-bugs' in hospitals. These little bacteria have been exposed to all matter of medicine and chemicals, causing them to produce a strain that is largely immune to amounts of treatment that are not toxic to the human body. What in their genetic code caused them to do so? Can we artificially facilitate and observe the basic unit of Evolution?
And to the moderator who reviews this topic, please leave the title alone. I want to see both sides of the debate in the replies.

My tallest, I will fill the Earth with snacks!

Adminnemooseus votes "no go" on this one, at least for now
I think this PNT has all kinds of problems, but I'm not, at the moment, up to doing a detailed critique. Maybe later tonight.

This doesn't appear particularly promising, and after promotion you posted only once to your previous topic. Why don't you see how well you can develop that topic before starting another.
