From the point of view of nearly every other species, you'd be right.The exceptions are those that thrive because of our presence. Our domesticated plants and animals, our parasites and symbiotic bacteria, etc. Even city sewer rats, arguably.But for most of life, we're causing one of the planets major extinction events (the sixth in its history, I think).

But that was not the question. Is the Earth better off than Venus?

The way I look at such a situation, I would condemn any nut case whether Atheist or Theist, Right-wing or Left-wing, creationist or evolutionist, Heterosexual, bisexual or homosexual, white, black, Hispanic, Native American, Pacific Islander, Asian or any other grouping that humans are listed in.
