Re: Nasty infestation of hairless apes
Thanks Moose. I suppose I agree in that our species IS fucking up the planet. However, that's not to say it's too late and we should rid planet earth of us.

No. However, not enough people do appreciate it.

Does your home care if it's a pig sty? Of course not. But you do (I would hope) because you have to reside there.

From the point of view of nearly every other species, you'd be right.
The exceptions are those that thrive because of our presence. Our domesticated plants and animals, our parasites and symbiotic bacteria, etc. Even city sewer rats, arguably.
But for most of life, we're causing one of the planets major extinction events (the sixth in its history, I think).

Better off how? It is for me because this is where I live. Perhaps I am not following what exactly you are getting at, though.

Note the sub-title?
His point is that the earth is better without you.

Re: Nasty infestation of hairless apes
I'm not asking you what Moose is saying, as I know full well what he is saying seeing as how I already responded to him in kind. I'm asking you what you are saying. He didn't bring up Venus, you did. If all you are doing is repeating what he said, but in a more cryptic manner, so be it. I assumed you meant something else.

And who else's point of view would you consider?

Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.

Re: Nasty infestation of hairless apes
Of course. Just like thermal vents are just fine for the extremophiles that live in that environment, if we evolved on Venus, we would say the same thing about that planet.

Re: Nasty infestation of hairless apes
Ask the bomber. He is the one that is considering some other point of view.
The point is, the earth has no point of view, it just is. It really doesn't care if we make it unlivable for humans, but we might.

The way I look at such a situation, I would condemn any nut case whether Atheist or Theist, Right-wing or Left-wing, creationist or evolutionist, Heterosexual, bisexual or homosexual, white, black, Hispanic, Native American, Pacific Islander, Asian or any other grouping that humans are listed in.

Since Evolution is only ~90% correct it should be thrown out and replaced by Creation which has even a lower % of correctness. W T Young, 2008
