I've just added a small but very handy feature. If you find it post a short but frustratingly obscure note here.

Are you asking why the feature, or why the implementation approach?

Clever. Ummm, pardon my ignorance, but what does it (them, actually), do?

Hmmm. That would be good to know if they're not actually doing anything for you. They don't take advantage of any browser-dependent code that I'm aware of, but what browser are you using?

Didn't work in FireFox, all better now. Click on reload or refresh to get the new CSS file, otherwise the appearance won't be right.

Re: some posts not showing up
There was a period of about two minutes when the fix was added where there might have been a problem. Let me know if you see this again.

Ermm, ahem. Well, ah, see I have this unbelievable phobia about pushing little bitty buttons on my computer when I don't know what they're supposed to do. I've accidently killed too many electronic devices to take chances.
So, what are they supposed to do, if I were ever to push one?

I can see that they'd be handy.
Not for this particular post, though.

LWR - SNR
I can see that they'd be handy.
Not for this particular post, though.
How about S instead of L, and N instead of W, for that particular post?
