Re: Veterans Hospital
Hopefully that is an option for you.
It's not because I got a general.

Re: Veterans Hospital
Can you go back to your PCP? He may know of options available. This isn't something to leave uninvestigated.

No, what I meant was that he might know of options available to you if you're in financial straits.

Yea, payment plans that I can't afford. If I could afford the payment plans, I could afford insurance.

Thanks, I'm out of the country but Asgara's observation had me very worried. Pleas send him our regards if you speak to him. I'm only guessing but I imagine Straggler's feeling very alone

Re: RAZD update YEA!
Latest I have is kinda good news! RAZD has bought a junky Austin Mini Cooper and will be getting it on the road soon. He has plans to try to convert it to a propane engine, just for kicks. What an idea. He also bought a TANDEM bicycle so he & the mrs. can tool around his hometown. Coolest.
Nobody gets my brother down. Nobody. Even if they throw the whole kitchen sink at him, he just shrugs it off. Kitchen window?, well, let's just say we had a good time with The Bigger Hammer.
The reality is that he still has more chemo to do - and he will. And he will emerge from that, too. Nobody gets my brother down.

Asgara Update
I started my fifth chemo session this morning and had a meeting with the nurse practitioner. Last session they drew blood to test my cancer marker CEA, Carcinoembyonic antigen. Before my surgery in July my numbers were 90, after surgery and pre-chemo it went down to 8.5. Normal is below 3. Today I was told that my number from last session was 2.2. With my clear PET/CT scan pre-chemo and my normal CEA, I am officially NED, No Evidence of Disease.
Not to say that there are no cancer cells in hiding right now, or that it can't come back in a month, a year, 5 years or 10. But for now there is NO evidence that there is cancer in my system. I will take this any day

Cannibis Oil
Hope this post finds RAZD and Asgara well.
Read this remarkable story today: Boy, two, with brain cancer is 'cured' after secretly being fed medical marijuana by his father
quote:
Mr Hyde said: 'He hadn't eaten a thing in 40 days - and, it was really incredible to watch him take a bite of a piece of cheese. It shows that he wants to live'.
He credits the cannabis oil with helping his son get through the chemo, and say Cash has now been declared cancer free by doctors.
The boy is now back and home and living the life of a typical young boy, playing with his elder brother Colty.
Medical marijuana is legal in some states, including Montana, but its use for children is poorly understood and quite rate.
The US federal government does not recognise the legality of using the drug for medical reasons and frequently clashes with states over the issue.
Mr Hyde told KXLY: 'It's very controversial, it's very scary. But, there's nothing more scary than losing your child,'
You can watch the very moving video also:
