It seems we should always be thankful.
The idea of making a day specifically to do so is a good thing.
Thanksgiving is one of those mile stones in my memories that
separates the humdrum day to day living.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. Belated.

Thankful To be
This year I purposefully avoided the gluttony of it all and focused on everybody else getting enough to eat. We ended up going shopping, and I also had to control myself there. My ultimate motive is for me to keep enough to share with others later....but I feel stuck in the materialistic whirlwind of Black Friday at times and am forced to make myself stay home in order to have enough peace to be thankful. At least I have a warm home, however. Thanks

On behalf of your fellow humans who made that possible, you're welcome.

Yes, I remember doing a few of these. But as I recall we used peanut oil instead of napalm.

I love the smell of peanut oil in the morning. It smells like... peanuts.

Re: Another 4th Thursday in November
In high school and college, I worked construction with my father. As a result, we made frequent trips to the dump.
One day at the entrance into the dump, I noticed a sign saying that it was closed on Thanksgiving. My father could never understand why I burst out in laughter.

I saw Arlo a few years ago at a concert in Eugene, Oregon. He put on a great show and told great stories.
