The only difference I can see is that the USGS article doesn't say that the wastewater injected into the ground contains salt. Is that the difference your concerned about? Because if so it's a minor point. The main point is that millions of gallons of wastewater injected into the ground is causing earthquakes. Whether there's salt in that wastewater is beside the point when it comes to earthquakes.--Percy
