Re: David Koch
He's not going to have to face the consequences of his actions. "Screw the future; I got mine!"
I suspect his heirs will carry on his legacy.
I ran into a guy a while back who was still pissed that Ken Lay (Enron CEO) died a few months into his prison sentence. It was like he wanted to resurrect the guy so he could serve a real life sentence.

Re: David Koch
Humans, particularly Americans, seem to have memories about as long as a May Fly's life.
Mention Bhopal and see what reaction you get.
Ask about the Greensboro Massacre and see what reaction you get.
Ask what a Lint Head is and see what reaction you get.
Ask how many times the Cuyahoga caught fire and see what answers you get.
What US city was abandoned because the coal mine beneath it has been burning now for over a half century?
We are caught in the moment and folk like the Koch Brothers understood that. We are NOT our brothers keepers and we are NOT planning for the seventh generation.
AbE:
Chief Seattle to Franklin Pearce in 1854 writes:
"The Great Chief in Washington sends word that he wishes to buy our land. The Great Chief also sends us words of friendship and good will. This is kind of him, since we know he has little need of our friendship in return. But we will consider your offer.
How can you buy or sell the sky, the warmth of the land? The idea is strange to us. If we do not own the freshness of the air and sparkle of the water, how can you buy them ?
Every part of this earth is sacred to my people. Every shining pine needle, every sandy shore, every mist in the dark woods, every clearing, and every humming insect is holy in the memory and experience of my people. The sap which courses through the trees carries the memories of the red man. So, when the Great Chief in Washington sends word that he wishes to buy our land, he asks much of us..."
"This we know: All things are connected. Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth. Man did not weave the web of life; he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself. But we will consider your offer to go to the reservation you have for my people. We will live apart, and in peace...."
"If we agree, it will be to secure the reservation you have promised. There, perhaps, we may live out our brief days as we wish. When the last red man has vanished from the earth, and his memory is only the shadow of a cloud moving across the prairie, these shores and forests will still hold the spirits of my people. For they love this earth as the newborn loves its mother's heartbeat. So, if we sell our land, love it as we've loved it. Care for it as we have cared for it. Hold in your mind the memory of the land as it is when you take it. And preserve it for your children..."

His son Chase is not nearly as interested in politics and pushing political control. Of the two brothers, Charles was (and still is) the more malignant of the two brothers. Chase is merely someone I disagree with.
I personally suspect that Charles is the driving force behind all the actions that I find reprehensible.

The Kochs and Ron Paul were big open borders supporters. Trump SMASHED them.
Democrats say immigration issues are why Trump is "evil".
So why is immigration relegated to a secondary status (to economic issues), now (when Kochs are the subject)?
    Opportunism.
    Correction:
    Political opportunism.
(Kochs have made opposition to Trump a major issue for 2020, and to the end that they will support Democrats)
A major reason why I can't stand Democrats.
The same Democratic party that hates being called "the DemoCRAT party', because of the subliminal "rats" political ad of the late 1990's.
They are a bunch of ratty rats.
    Nobody likes a "rat".
(I love the animals btw, just hate human slime balls that hurt others in an unethical way)

I just got a hold of an old (1993) Newsweek issue.
There was a time when Democrats had character.
Clinton was in a bitter negotiation with Republicans.
The issue was NAFTA (which was only going to pass by a bare majority AT BEST).
Potential Republican supporters were in almost as much hot water as pro-NAFTA Democrats.
The issue was whether Clinton would be able to stop Pro-Democratic groups for running ads against Republicans who supported NAFTA. Clinton was assuring them he would do his best, and he really meant it. Republicans wanted guarantees that they would not be lambasted, IN POLITICAL ADS, for supporting NAFTA.
(I can quote the 1993 Newsweek issue, if anybody requests it)
Clinton had character. 2019 Democrats should learn from his example.
    Sincerely, LamarkNewAge.

And she battled cancer for 10 years in her 70s ?
Hats off and respect to the woman. Rest in peace.

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

    Eddie Money
Eddie Money, 'Two Tickets to Paradise' singer, dead at 70 - UPI.com
Eddie Money, the singer behind hit songs such as 1977's "Two Tickets to Paradise" and 1986's "Take Me Home Tonight," has died at the age of 70.
I saw him perform at the Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles, many years ago, hot as hell in Paso in the summer. He was a total pro, even with equipment malfunctions.

    Re: Eddie Money
The summer before my senior year of high school I worked at a Holiday Inn in Newark, OH. Eddie Money was in town to play at an outdoor music festival. He stayed at that hotel. I took a room service order to him. He was a bit of an ass and did not tip. The woman with him was hot.
