She can't maintain prominence without Trump's insults...so maybe a shared ticket? Lots of abusive relationships are like that.
Thanks a lot, you made ginger ale come out my nose and short out my keyboard.
Wow, wouldn't that be fun to watch? Way better than the McCain and Palin Show. They could make another fortune with a comedy reality show after they lose the election.
I think you are right, Lindsey is next. Christie and Huck are starting to look desperate to me also.

There's a yoga term for that.

Agree on Christie, not so sure about Shuck: he's in it mostly to keep tv and paid speech currency, so his timing is slippery.
All a primary opponent has to do to Christie is run video of him hugging Obama for the prompt federal attention to NJ's storm disaster. Reality broke through for a moment, and he'll never live it down.

Christie?
He might be next. Although I admit I somewhat selfishly hope he lasts long enough to have another back and forth with The Donald. It honestly is like watching an old Japanese Kaiju film where Godzilla and King Ghidorah are battling in out.

Indeed, that is why I picked him: to much like Trumpy in bluster, insult and braggadocio, but too "lumbered" with being a long-term politician for the base to be interested (I agree with the analysis that the GOP has poisoned their own well by convincing their base that washington is broken and the politicians can't get anything done).
Note that the other "climbers" in the polls are Ben Carson and Carli Fiorina -- the other "outsiders" -- and that all the "falling" candidates are long-term politicians.

Ben Carson's Gish Gallop
I've started a separate thread to talk about this. Here I just ask you to admire the dishonesty and the stupidity.

If you want to know just how confused and hypocritical Shuck really is, global replace "the Pope" and "Catholic" with "the Whore of Babylon" throughout that screed.

First he loses the debate then he gets booed?
Home - Reverb Press —
quote:
Beginning Of The End? Trump Was Booed Twice In 24 Hours
But on Friday, the candidate should have been on friendlier turf. He was speaking to the Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C. It doesn’t get much more conservative than that.
Trump soon made it apparent that he wasn’t the group’s favorite son. He attacked Marco Rubio, calling him this clown. Again, Trump was booed, and loudly. The crowd’s response came in spite of the fact that Trump was attacking Rubio over his attempts at immigration reform typically an issue that is anathema to conservatives.
However, Rubio had been well-received at the Summit earlier in the day, especially when he was the one to announce the resignation of Speaker of the House John Boehner. Those words received a standing ovation.
The group wasn’t done with Trump yet. When he claimed that he won the last Republican debate, a man in the audience yelled, No, you didn’t! apparently prompting Trump to leave the gathering without taking questions from the press.
However, his best riposte came the day before, on a Kentucky radio show. Rubio said:
[Trump’s] not well-informed on the issues. He really never talks about issues and can’t have more than a 10-second sound bite on any key issue. I think he’s kind of been exposed a little bit over the last seven days and he’s a touchy and insecure guy. So that’s how he reacts and people can see through it.
If Rubio’s recent rise in the polls continues, the attacks from Trump will no doubt increase. However, when even conservatives are showing a limit to their tolerance, it looks like simplistic name-calling and grandstanding aren’t going to carry the billionaire much further.
So now the candidates can get down to discussing issues and policies ... oh wait they are republicans ... they don't do issues and policies ...

Is it true...
Is it true that Bill tried to cheer up Hillary by pointing out that Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in prison before he became president?

sliding away ...
The Ding Dong now in second place and dropping ...
[quote]Donald Trump loses national lead, Ben Carson now Republican front runner
quote:
With 17 percent support, Trump has fallen out of the top spot and is now second in the Republican primary election. Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, who has surged since the first debate in August, now claims the top spot with 24 percent support from those polled. Rounding out the top five are Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, with 11 percent, former CEO of Hewlett-Packard Carly Fiorina with 9 percent, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush with 8 percent.
Trading one nutbag for another, someone with NO political experience. We'd do better by choosing someone by lottery.

I think Douglas Adams had the right idea. Who would be crazy enough to give that much power to somebody who actually wants it?
