I think it might be nice for us to have a topic on home repair...ect.
I know it isn't really a subject that has anything to do with the spirit of this site, but I think there may be members who might benefit from others knowledge/experience.
I was just going to stick it in coffee house, but I have started a few things there already that didn't have anything to do with Creation or evolution.

How do I prevent my mortgage from rubbing up against my insurance policy and thus causing a friction fire that burns my house down?

Seems to me that if I use my mortgage payments to buy lottery tickets there will be a net increase in friction.

yes up until the moment you win then the friction decreases permanently.
Seriously though it depends on allot of things like if you have a spare room you can rent it out to get some extra cash, talk to the guys that own your mortgage if you can decrease the value of your payments and increase the time you will be paying off the debt. throw your credit cards in the bin and only use cash i personally hate credit cards hard to track your spending and you pay more, get a better paying job, dont increase your debt but save money for stuff you want dont go and buy them on kredit ........
