Evo. doesn't unsubstantiate all religions. I'm curious to see what religions are in this forum. Judeo-christianity is out of the question, and possibly even Islam (because of their dependancy on early biblical heritage). My immediate argument about buddhism is that you can't approach it logically... for example, the bible is so attackable because of its historical specificity, which can be compared to actual archaeological specifics. I'm open for anything though.

I don't have a clue what you are asking?
Are you asking if there are Christian or Jewish or Islamic Evolutionists?

No, i know there are theistic evolutionists. I'm wondering what religions can be approached logically, with our knowledge of archaeology and evolution, etc., and can be substantiated by science. Personally, I think that liberal christianity (aka theistic evolution) is a stretch and I would never buy it, but i'm curious to see what some hardcore religionists on this board have to say about the scientific support of their religion.

There is no religion that can be approached logically or scientifically because all of them require faith. Faith is the opposite of logic and science. To all of them, if the logic of scientific evidence is against their faith, they will either pound it with a hammer to make it fit their faith or they simply ignore it.
No, this is not a hasty generalization. If you can approach a belief system logically and scientifically, it's not a religion anymore.

There is no Scientific support for my religion, no reason for there to be a Scientific support base nor could there be.
IMHO, the two things, Science and Religion are totally seperate and unrelated.
Science is building a knowledge base of what happens and how that happens.
Religion is a philosophy of why things happen.

This whole thing reminds me of a famous conversation between Carl Sagan and the Dalai Lama. It went something like this:
Sagan: So what would you do if we were able to prove that reincarnation doesn't exist?
Dalai Lama: I would of course teach Buddhists not to believe in it anymore...(thinking a moment)Incidentally how would you go about proving that?
