I spent all summer working on my floor, as some of you may have known. I also replaced my stairs and painted the walls. It almost killed me, but I finally finished it just in time for school this year. I feel like showing off what I did almost single handedly, so here are some pictures.
This is my new stairs from the top.
This is my stairs from the bottom.
This is my parents' bedroom.
This is another bedroom.
And another.
Those 2 are for guests only. I'm going to work on the remaining 2 next summer. Ok, so I'm not quite completely finished.
This is a little library/computer/work/play/call-it-whatever-you-want room. OK, I remember now. They called it the lobby.
This is the dining room.
This is the... not so formal dining room. I forgot what the official name for this is.

This is the laundry room. Forgot to put back the door.
This is the kitchen.
I am just so happy to have done with it for this summer.
Here is what I have planned for next summer. I'm going to replace the door and window frames. I'm going to stain the banister, as many of you may have noticed that the color didn't quite match with the rest of the stairs. Let me see... what else is there... oh yeah, I really need to clean out the garage. It looks more like a tornado just went through it.

Oh yeah, here is an issue for anyone who wants to debate. What color should I paint or stain my banister? Reddish like the steps or white like the wall?

How about the base and the rail the reddish stain and the balusters the white?

Is that a real suggestion? The reason I'm asking is because I am seriously considering it. Now, the hard part is to try to convince my parents.

You like the look? I'll have you know we don't need your suggestions, you lil omni-woman.
I see that Berbs has atleast been good enough to post in (MY) mediocre topic, but Lam and Asgara have refrained. I mean, it's been there for a whole minute now!!!!!!!!
Click, sane mode; Nice job Lam, can I paint the creation of Adam on your ceiling? Or will it drip onto your floor?
Ps. Rate my baba.

Reddish looks goodish to me.

Reddish would be better. Too much white in the
surround would make the stairway look a bit stark
don't you think?

Paint it a bright colour so you can find it when you stagger home drunk.:-P
Did you sand the old floor and glue the parquetry over it?
