I was watching a "scientific" program the other day, completely unaware that it was being hosted by a creationist. He was talking about particle physics, Max Plank, and some other stuff. He was talking about genetics and how a sperm cell contains half of who we are and I think there was a little determinism in there somewhere, ie: that cell dictates who and what we'll be when we're living, and what we'll do. And he said that if you look with a big enough microscope you'll get down to the atom level, then the point-particle level, etc etc. Eventually he got to the Higgs Field, which he claimed to be God, or at least the creator of all things, and a very benevolent force, how he assumed that I dunno.
My question is: why do creationists think the Higgs Field is God? I'm assuming they do, from what I saw on that show. This seems to be the newer side of creationism that tries to be more scientific.... Any thoughts? Does anyone think the same way?
