Do creationists accept that the mechanism of evolution by natural selection can at least be successfully applied to man-made systems?
Creationists deny the fact that random mutations in the genes that form the recipe for an organism can be responsible for steering the organism towards a more or less successful outcome in the competion for existance. Do they also deny that a direct application of this principle in man-made systems could yield equally successful engineering solutions?
The topic might also explore the interesting similarities between the higher degrees of diversity found in the design of early man-made artifacts and the earliest known species.
