Hey, is that supposed to work? Great.
I'd REALLY appreciate a little politeness. Using arguments that are nothing but ad hominem attacks on me are not polite. Refusing to address the actual topic by dodging into discussions about why you don't like porn is not polite. Misrepresentating historical facts is not polite.
Actually, Faith has a point there. While it is quite clear that she is not capable of not using logical fallacies in a debate, the rest of us are quite capable of not using words to directly demean someone else, especially words that they taught us not to use on others all the way back in grade school.

Re: A different thought
What if the man is strapped to the bed and the woman goes to work on him with a sex toy? is that still hetrosexual? who's the master and the slave in that situation?
There's never anything like that, nor the whipping of anybody.

You are, of course, joking, right?

Re: A different thought
The woman is an ultra-willing toy and does things like put live snakes in her mouth to simulate oral sex. This is the general tone of the genre. It's made strictly for heteresexual men, and in terms of quantity, is the most popular porn around. I say this since there are so many heterosexual men.
No more details.

Re: A different thought
It is not made strictly for heterosexual men, though they are the biggest target. However, just because someone acts out being 'an ultra-willing toy' no more makes them so than De Niro is a gangster.
However, I think the tone of the genre has changed since the 70s and 80s. It is the women in porn that call the shots and hold the power, and make the money, and its the men that get shafted.
Edit: Which means to say, it has gone from an industry that gives the kicks to men, to an industry where women make money from men.

Re: Ted Bundy
I also seem to recall that watching porn makes many men less satisfied and more critical of their partner's body, and makes many women more critical of their own bodies.
he he
My girlfriend and I watch porn together all the time.
Actually, most of the girls in porn these days make me totally appreciate my girfriend. She's way more attractive than the large majority of these girls. (especially the ones with fake boobs, yeach..)

Re: Ted Bundy
Well, that's one concern out of the way.
Do you watch the porn that has all those underage illegal immigrants?
Do you feel the urge to go on a serial killing rampage?

Re: Insidious
As a matter of fact, some defense attorneys of murderers have used the "murder gene" defense for their clients.
This is off topic, but the problem with that is that it is AN EXPLANATION not an EXCUSE to suspend a sentence or a finding of "guilty". Unfortunately, attorneys are successful at convincing people that an explanation excuses a perp.
The last bit of your post seems a bit like eugenics.....no thanks.

Don't want to beat a dead horse here, but I think that 'gossip magazines' do more for negative body image in women than porn ever could. Pictures of celebrities doing their normal routine with arrows pointing at cellulite, or at the belly that is forming, or an overly large bottom, wrinkles or the wrong dress. Maybe its meant to make people feel better than nobody has a perfect body, but I think it has the opposite effect to. "Hey, if Kylie's knees are too fat, then mine are freakish!"

This is totally off topic.
The West has been so prosperous because of our basic adherence to God's Law, including sexual propriety and respect. That's going now, that's my point. All that is going since the sixties, so I guess we can look forward to becoming some version of a third world country, if we continue to exist at all that is.
You have really got to be joking.
What made European countries so successful was technology, mainly military technology like gunpowder and advanced warships.
Are you telling me that it was because of obedience to the will of God that these things were developed and used?
Are you saying that it was God's will to commit genocide and subjugate native people's lands?
China also had a lot of similar technology and was far ahead of the west culturally and technologically for a really long time, all without "obeying God's will" (you know that's what Islam means as a word right?). But they just happened to like to keep to themselves (mostly), so no colonialism.
Are you saying that European colonialism was due to God's will? True, all of these jokers were stealing gold, land, and other resources in the name of God and/or the Church, but to say that this type of mass murder is God's will is plain silly.
Actually, I take that back. It's the OT God's way of doing things, for sure.

I'd like to address the degradation thing.
Surely, some porn degrades people. But, as has been stated earlier, lots of popular culture degrades people, and usually the people are very willing to be degraded.
BUT, I don't see most porn as being degrading.
I think perhaps degradation is in the eye of the beholder.
When I see people on their knees in front of a pulpit with a preacher's shaking hand clasped to their heads muttering in tongues, I see that as utterly degrading.
When I see someone like Benny Hinn calling old people up to the front to be a spectacle, that's completely disgusting and degrading to those people.
I really thing we need to strictly regulate evengelism, especially the genre of "faith healing" whose main theme is degradation of people.

Re: A different thought
This is a wind-up isn't it?
While I don't doubt that some animals may be used in pornography movies - why is she going to use one to simulate oral sex? What is hardcore about a woman putting a snake in her mouth? Why not just a straight forward honest to god penis?
I'm baffled what sort of material you have been watching - it does not sound of interest to most adult males.

curious reasons
So, it appears that no one seriously believes that the use of minors in pornography is a serious issue. Not does it appear that the use of illegal immigrants is much of an issue.
I still haven't heard anyone from our local anti-porn crowd comment on our law enforcement officials' use of spurrious reasoning to justify laws that are clearly meant to harrass a specific target.

On the other hand, back in my high school and college days, I rarely saw a porn film where the audience did not include women brought by their boy friends.
...which doesn't mean they exactly wanted to be there.
Women have long done sexual things in order to keep a man.
"If you really loved me you would do X."
