Kettle, it's me Pot.
As for your call to punish Robertson for his mistakes, sorry. When you and the Left in general apologize for your outrageous uncalled for remarks against Bush and his supporters I'll give it another thought.
Once again, Faith has no basis from which to make a point, so let's just change the subject. Yawn.
If you want to talk about statements made about Bush, start a new string. Call it - "We can say what we want about Clinton, but Bush gets a free pass."
We're talking about Robertson here. So bring it, or get off the court.

So do it!
If the other side doesn't get a hearing I'd say you are seriously at fault for slanderous hearsay.
This is your second post about us not hearing the counter argument. What is it? You have all of the internet at your disposal. Bring it.

Ownage
But offhand owning something or being rich doesn't strike me as a heinous crime
Well, can someone please tell me this. Where did PR get the money to buy diamond mines and gold mines? Does he have a 2nd job I don't know about? Or, did he get the money to buy a diamond mine from gullable followers who thought they were giving to charity?

Re: Caution about internet information
So until you can find it discussed on a mainstream Christian site or a conservative site or a legal site or a neutral site or a major media site for that matter, I would take it with a huge grain of salt.
"Unless my side is making up lies about it, I'm gonna cover my eyes and sit in the corner."
If you want to discredit the sites you are attacking, get the information, post it here, point out what's factually wrong and correct it. Otherwise, what are you talking about?

Re: So do it!
So the campaign donations were given prior to any official investigation. Crash was therefore wrong to call it a bribe, as I suspected.
Randman is dead on. This was not a bribe. The official was purchased.

Re: Ownage
Robertson has made a number of shrewd business deals. Probably the most lucrative was the purchase of a number of FM radio stations in the 1960s
Im very confused. Is this the same Pat Robertson who was poor? I have a good job, as does my wife. I can't buy one, let alone several FM radio stations.
Where did PR get the money to purchase a radio station?

Re: Caution about internet information
Rand, you are replying to me about a post in which I reply to Faith's saying that she won't accept any information unless it comes from a conservative site.
I assume you're CNN information is correct.
I also agree that the "Bush is a child killer Satanist guy" is way outthere.
I, however, don't think you have proven that Crashfrog's info is incorrect. It read to me like a listing of PR's properties and where he's spending his money.

Re: Ownage
Why don't you or someone from your side spend even a little time investigating whether your charges and opinions have any merit?
What charges? I merely asked for clarification. You were saying he was very poor until he bought that radio station.
All I wanted to know is, did he get the money to buy the radio station by asking his followers for cash for charities.
As for investigating whether our opinions have any merit -- don't bait me into pulling in unfounded opinions of yours from other strings, it'll throw the whole thing off topic.

Re: Caution about internet information
It's not illegal for the non-profit org to lease it's equipment.
This is true, but you have to admit, it's pretty shady when an organization run by PR is leasing equipment to a business run by PR. That's a heck of a lot different than a church renting out the corner of it's parking lot for a cell tower.

Re: Caution about internet information
If the non-profit made a "profit" on its leasing and then used the money to further its mission, then I'm not sure I would call it shady.
Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of the for-profit leasing a plane at severely slashed prices from a non-profit which can write off the cost of fuel, etc.
I don't pretend to be an accountant, but given what's been happening at Enron, Worldcom, et al. we have to raise an eyebrow at any business practice like this

Pat Robertson Kills Chief Justice
Using his connections with the almighty and the unstoppable power of prayer, Pat Robertson has killed Chief Justice Rehnquist.
Is there no one who can stop this madman?
