Pat Robertson made a very stupid comment, especially considering his position, and the upshot of this is Jesse Jackson gets to be a statesman.Amazing, and well worth the entertainment value, almost as much as the realization that Jesse brought his pregnant mistress to the White House with him when he came to "counsel" Clinton on his adultery and marriage.In all seriousness though, Jesse might do some good with Chavez.

Chavez kicks ass That's why the US hates him. He will likely be deposed and replaced withs ome asshole dictator we will prop up for years. All in the name of keeping Latin america a loose knit bunch of bannana republics who barks on command.

Advocating the murder of the leader of a foreign nation, having a Supreme Court justice killed, Robertson sure sounds a like a danger. I fully expect the US administration to act swiftly to arrest this radical cleric and send him off to Gitmo.

And he was an activist judge too, bringing the court into the elections in 2000 to thwart the votes of the people.{abe}It will be interesting to see what Robertson has to say about this eh? I riffed on this in another thread. If Robertson and his minions prayed for God to strike down the wayward court members, and God's response was to make O'Connor retire and kill Rehnquist, shouldn't he be looking very closely at what that means.Either God has very poor aim, or Robertson was wrong on who was wayward.In any case, for all those believing in the miraculous, including the power of prayer, it is time for them to come forward and charge Robertson and his followers with murder, or conspiracy to murder a federal official.

It seems that after any world event that Robertson and his ilk (term used with ill concealed contempt connotations) will wrap their faith around itlike Faith and the Katrina Hurricane Aftermath -- it is not the hurricane that was the problem but the lack of response, so he\she blames non-believers for the hurricaneIf the cat5 hurricane that his Cuba had killed as many they would have crowed about it's godless regime causing the disaster, and if New Orleans had been spared by good planning and full proper reaction, they would have said it was god's blessing that did it.It would be interesting to do a statistical study but the results would be ignored by those that need the info the most.

What I had failed to uncover the first time around was that Robertson and the Christian Coalition he founded were successfully sued by a group of black employees for racist activities, including making the black employees enter the premises from a back entrance and segregating them during meals. The allegations were so damaging to the organization that Robertson was forced to resign.And now the Federal government is making sure that money from hard-working, generous Americans is flowing right into the pockets of this racist? I mean, let's get real. There's absolutely no guarantee that any donation to Operation Blessing is going to benefit any victim of Katrina.

From what I saw of the ABC story, first the director of Operation Blessing said that they never gave any money to CBN, but when confronted by the actually numbers, he said he wasn't going to talk about accounting practices.
