Do not think I have written this to offend, but to explain a problem that I think needs to be resolved. Whenever I go into the chat between the hours of 9 and 3, AdminJar insists that it is school hours and kicks me out. However, he does not take into account the fact that it is only school hours when school is in session. Today it is a half a day, so I do not have school right now. Unfortunately, Jar insists that I be kept out of the chat and even threatened to ban me if I did not comply. My understanding is that you cannot ban or suspend a member unless they have actually broken a rule. There is no rule in the forum which states I must not be in the chat during these alledged school hours and there should not be one.
I think this should be taken into consideration not by AdminJar, but by the other Administrators. Try not to look at it in the sense that you have authority over me as a child in the way that a parent has authority over his child, but rather look at it through the objective glasses of the forum rules, which are the proper standards by which a member is to be judged.
I request that Jar not close this thread and instead allow the other administrators to look into it. I do not see a reason why anyone should take offense at this, for I am not angry with Jar and I am not offending Jar. What I am doing is bringing up an issue that I think needs to be resolved, and I don't think cutting me off from the forum is the proper solution.
Edit: All members that agree with me reply with your argument.

Examining the Evidence
Did AdminJar and you make an agreement? What were the exact terms of the agreement?

Actually, it was ME who threatened to ban you. Your agreement with Adminjar was to stay out of EvC during school hours. We do not have access, nor do we want access, to your school schedule. Effectively this means school hours are monday thru friday 9 to 3 eastern time.
You made the agreement, live with it. You are doing what you always do. You beg others fix your issues instead of looking to yourself to fix them. Quit trying to negotiate and take it like a man.

Re: Examining the Evidence
AdminJar and I agreed that I would stay out of the chat during school hours, however he must understand that it is only school hours when school is in session, and since it is a half a day today, school is not in session. Therefore it is not school hours. So the agreement is null and void during this time.

Playing Lawyer.
Guido, do NOT play lawyer. We believe we bear a responsibility to not create what is, in law, called an "attractive nuisance". We do not intend to take the time, as Asgara says, to know the details of your school schedule.
It is not like chat is a life and death matter. Just leave it and take the chance to demonstrate a degree of maturity and responsibility.

The basic consensus is that you are not to be at EvC during school hours. The issue seems to be who gets to define school hours...and while I trust that you had a half day, I would advise that we use the blanket definition of 3 p.m. Mon-Fri as the guideline.
So today is an unfortunate technicality.
Besides...talking with a bunch of gruff administrators is boring anyway....go read a good book or do something productive!

There is a major problem with not taking into account my actual school schedule. One of them is days in which I have off such as the summer. I certainly did not agree to staying out of the chat during days that I have off, and half a days should be no exception.

No I'm not. What I'm doing is far more sinister than that. (Just kidding)

Technically, you have a point...if you werethe lawyer. In a forum, administrators make the rules. Instead of simply banning you outright...which they technically could do...they agreed to make a workable set of rules for you to follow.
It has been said that you frequently demand attention and are disruptive in chat. You have been made aware of this and are working to better yourself.
My suggestion is to agree to the rules rather than challenge them, and learn to discipline (moderate) yourself.
Administrators are human. Some of us are more tolerant than are others. Keep in mind that it is not any forum members right to be here...it is a privilege. We can ban or boot anyone that we feel disrupts the forum.
I like Asgaras advice to you---be a man, Guido! You are tough enough to get through this emotional stew! Talk to me after 3 p.m.

No, Admins do NOT make the rules. Admin moderate in accordance WITH the given rules established by percy. Therefore your argument is wrong. Period.

Keepin in Check
while you technically may be correct, keep in mind that you may win the argument yet lose the war. Why not simply agree to follow the rule so that you may live to fight (or chat) another day rather than throwing all the cards on the table and getting booted out of the poker game?
