(Could I also cite this chapter as one of those that convinces me the revelation is progressive, and that the God-concept of this period is defective? Either that or God and Pol Pot must be good chums - v. 28-40)

In this regard, I would caution you against the use of absolutes such as 'only'. In many cases, the employment of such absolutes will serve only to get you into trouble
I do understand your point here. However, as you did make reference to the Bible in message 13, I was simply stating what the Bible itself actually claims as to the "who" and "why". This is not my absolute alone.
