Will the rest of the world please wrath up?
I just want to say that there are an awful lot of Asian, American, African and Australian Gods who are very unhappy with your OP.
And don't apologize: by and large, they just don't care much about repentance.

Drinking when we are not thirsty and making love at any time, madam, is all that distinguishes us from the other animals.

That's where my cross-examination is going.
First I want proof of identity from all of them. Then I want proof of omnipotence. (I'm not sure how the retro-proof of creation is going to work out.)
As we eliminate the imposters, we can roll in the next batch of contenders.

In my experience, there's nothing better than offering a god the flesh of an unbeliever to test bonafides.
You could be the living acid test, Ringo.
I'd start with the Australians. They seem an easy-going lot.

I was thinking of shooting them one at a time to test their immortality. The omnipotent and/or fairlipotent might eat me in self-defense.
I'm mulling over whether or not to make the sacrifice in the name of TruthTM.

Don't worry--like the FPPE, they wouldn't eat you 'cause you're so tough!

Remember the three-way gunfight at the end of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly? The key is in deciding Whom to shoot first.
If I shoot one of the imposters and the others all panic and zap me, will you be able to tell which one is the Real Thing? Can you tell the Real Zap from a parlour trick?
The only reliable test is if I shoot the Right One and He/She doesn't die.

Why not just eat the Purple Spaghetti Flying Monster and eliminate him?
We can replace him with another Urban Legend...Slim Shady himself.

Re: Will the rest of the world please wrath up?
Um, that's the Flying Purple People Eater, m'lady.
It matters, because the Purple Spaghetti Flying Monster transubstantiates infinitely, commanding "EAT ME!" with the divine aplomb of A Perfect Olive. The FPPE does not.
I can't believe you didn't know that.
You gotta get your facts straight if you're gonna test the Gods.

Why Loki?
Why did you choose Loki, who isn't even a god (and only gets mentioned as one because he kept hanging with his brother, Odin), as the representative? That's sort of like getting the angel Gabriel to represent Christianity.
You should have chosen Odin. Loki wasn't involved in the creation of all things, and isn't even very powerful. Odin was one of the three creator brothers (with Ve and Vili), and is usually considered to be the chief God. Odin at least was worshipped, whereas Loki was not (as far as anyone can tell anyway).
Edited by Doddy Curumehtar, : offered alternative: Odin
Edited by Doddy Curumehtar, : mentioned worship of Odin vs Loki

Re: for the record
Archer writes:
Seniority: support for Sophia's divine attributes and 'firstborn' status existed for centuries before Jesus was born.
Consensus: the Hebrew text supporting Sophia's status is regarded as authoritative by more people than the Greek Gospel narratives--and this, before we even begin to consider the texts honoring Sophia that exist outside Jewish culture.
OK...noted in minutes. But I wanted to present the evidence in John 1 as well.
NIV writes:
John 1:1-5
:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.
I submit that the darkness of human reasoning cannot fathom the light as defined by Johns author. Before anyone hollars copout! I want the record to show this passage in a more modern transliteration:
The Message writes:
John 1
The Life-Light
1-2 The Word was first,
the Word present to God,
God present to the Word.
The Word was God,
in readiness for God from day one.
Everything was created through him;
nothing”not one thing!”
came into being without him.
What came into existence was Life,
and the Life was Light to live by.
The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness;
the darkness couldn't put it out.
Let the record state that the gender is a "he" and that Sophia is a "she"....
I dunno what the Spaghetti Monster is, but it sure tastes good! Some Communion!
I submit that Jesus is mentioned in the top bestselling book and that the other candidates are not...except Sophia. Does anyone know much about her?
