57, soon 58
I decided some time ago to age, not gracefully, but obliviously. It helps when I'm among folks of different ages.

I read somewhere that a person's perceived life time is half over at age 21 and I think that there is something to that. They lived the wrong life. It seems apparent to me that over 2/3 of my life has been spent over the age of 21, and I'm only 45. 21 was so long ago I filed it away in the history cabinet with things like the Reformation and the Civil War.

GDR writes: Actually this is a good age to be except that time is just rocketing by. We had mandatory retirement at age 60 and that just seems like yesterday. I read somewhere that a person's perceived life time is half over at age 21 and I think that there is something to that. I know the feeling, GDR. If you're on a rocket, some of us are already on the jet plane. I don't think the reason for this is biological, but that it's relativity. A year seems endless at age ten, because it's a tenth of your life, but at age sixty it's a mere sixtieth. Make sure you enjoy that retirement as it speeds by, anyway.

only 89 in your list is a prime number whose digits are sequential. the other option is 23--which he already said he was (for about one more month, and then 24).

cavediver writes: I love surprises... I had you pegged for 25-35 Ya gotta grow old but you don't gotta mature. This is an interesting place to hang out and a great place where I get to learn from people younger than my kids. (You're the same age as my youngest.) When I look back I kinda wish that I had taken an interest in academics. At the time airplanes and girls seemed to hold a much greater attraction. I'm trying to make up for it now but not in a formal way. I just enjoy reading and discussing, (elementary science and theology), and then seeing what sticks. Everybody is entitled to my opinion.
