Re: The Nature of Conspiracy Theorists
Why don't you add to the list then? I asked him to add to it. I even used please.

Omg
This is just ridiculous. I ask for evidence and all you people give me is oh it couldn't have happened because too many people would have to be in on it. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT WTC 7. STAY ON THE SUBJECT. I have yet to see a single person post any evidence on how wtc 7 just suddenly collapsed. Now please stop avoiding my question. I looked on the NIST website and all i got was "The NIST investigation of the WTC 7 building collapse is not yet complete. The report on the WTC 7 collapse investigation will be released in draft form for public comment and posted on this web site as soon as it is available." Don't you guys find it a little strange that its been 6 years? Now please provide this evidence everyone keeps talking about. Video's, picture's, article's, interview's whatever.
Btw it seems all you are pretty passionate about this subject, it doesn't seem like just some crazy conspiracy theorist posting wacky things anymore. It shows in the writing of everyone. All you have to do is question things, which is what science is all about. Everyone still has the mind set that its impossible because its too big of a set up, however you just need to think about this critically and from a scientific point of view. Ignore all the hard questions right now and focus on the scientific ones. The ones we CAN prove.

ok
Well I guess this is my last post since everyone seems so negative to me. I did look at that pdf a while ago and thought it was bullshit. But I guess thats my opinion. I mean there was a gash in the side of the building, dont you think it would come down sideways or at a slight angle not strait down. It weakened one side, not every side. And i find it hard to believe that fire initiated the collapse. Buildings have been on fire for over 24 hours, and when it does go out, the steel frame is still standing. Well maybe im just a little paranoid. However I do have one favor to ask, think of me when the truth comes out into the public. Ill have a huge smile on my face. Btw it will most likely be within the next 30 years.

Seriously if you've taken any introductory college science course you would know that this statement is true. Whats great about science is that it is always subject to change because of new information that we discover over time. Facts are not subject to change. There are theories in science which try to explain a specific phenomena. There are very good theories and also very bad theories. Gravity is one in which i think we can rely on 99.999999% of the time. Albeit it is still a theory. Currently both theories on the Truthers side and the government are both pathetic theories. The data that backs up both sides is very insignificant, which is why we need to push for a better understanding of what happened that day where thousands of American people were murdered. A good inverstigation has not been done.
If you are telling me that a 50 story building with an extremely strong frame collapsed in 6 seconds due to fire is a fact, then you need to change your mindset. Scientists ASK QUESTIONS and gather information even if we are almost 100% sure about a theory.
Now if you've taken any physics at all throughout your life you would be sceptical considering.
1. WTC 7 WAS NOT hit by a plane.
2. It fell in 6 seconds, which means there was absolutely no resistance throughout the building. Pancake theory is a joke, lol.
3. The melting of steel does not all the sudden destroy the whole frame all at once. If it did melt the steel, it would have been a gradual process that takes hours. Not 6 seconds.
4. Several explosions were heard and recorded.
5. The owner of the building himself said they "pulled it"
Now if you look at all these reasons wouldn't it be a reasonable idea for us to research more? Data gathering is something that never hurts anyone. You Dr Adequate are stuck in world where only your own opinions matter, and can not be open to any new ideas for fear of being wrong. Grow up.

Insanity!
I think the main problem with this thread is that we aren't talking about the scientific parts of the argument. People refute me with angry comments and relating me to creationists, and linking websites that don't even know how to do a citation correctly. Seriously the last site that was linked basically showed pictures saying "Look look! this picture shows a little damage." Science describes how and why phenomena occur. I don't know who was responsible, I don't know how it was possible that so many people would have had to plant the explosives, lastly I don't know why this happened.
What I do know is that the phenomena the occurred on 9/11 is not completely explained to the point where we can come to a concise conclusion.
It's funny that this is a forum about science but no one seems to be talking about it. No one has yet to explain why there is such a time delay when the buildings collapse. No one has explained why the buildings fall at such a high speed when they collapse. No one has explained how the concrete is pulverized to dust. No one has explained why there is molten steel spewing out of the side of the buildings and pools of molten steel which stay hot for months after the collapse. No one has explained the intense seismic occurrence that happened 15 seconds right before the building collapsed.
Which is why I decided to go off topic for a second.
How do you explain the enormous change in put options for airlines right before the attacks. For those of you that do not know what a put option is, it is a type of stock where you can profit if the stock goes down. For airlines it changed to about ten times what it was normally is a day before the attacks occurred.
Let me give you guys a little lesson in history.
In the 1930's Germany was a democracy much like our own until a very strange occurrence (Reichstag Fire)was brought about by what was supposedly political communist who were coming to Germany to spread their communist views. Of course later, about 15 years later, they confirmed that it was the Nazis that organized this in order to take power. Shortly after the fire though many of the citizens civil rights were taken away for fear of these communists. Soon enough this enabled the Nazis to start an immoral war. Soon enough they started torturing enemies, which soon spread to torturing citizens. A group then arose called the White Rose Group which originated from the University of Munich. They spoke out against the war and against the the Nazis. They were of course rediculed by the majority, and were eventually beheaded. Today they are revered as heroes.

I'm glad there is a limit as to how long you can be president, which makes me think we will be rid of all this nonsense when Obama wins the presidential election.
