    Archer Opterix for lyricism
    Message 30
Archer is short and very sweet. A plea for removing the blinders and letting the light shine. It is truly a wonderful world.

Percy on Michael Behe at "How can Biologists believe in the ToE?"
    Author: Percy
    Forum: Is It Science?
Thread: How can Biologists believe in the ToE?
    Message: 100
I knew that Michael Behe is an old Earth evolutionist, but prior to Percy's message my best documentation of such was via Kenneth Miller's Finding Darwin's God (plug for topic I started). Percy points out that Behe said much the same in his own book, Darwin's Black Box.
Percy includes the quote to trot out when a YEC starts trumpeting the position of Behe.
    Also some other stuff there.

Doddy on micro vs macro systems.
Doddy does a great job blowing away the old "my truck won't build itself" canard.
This analogy falls over, because macroscopic systems don't compare with microscopic ones. Your truck parts won't be floating around your garage, bumping into one another, but biological molecules will.

Jar for a very good example
    Message 143
Jar points out what a good example of how science works the periodic table is. I hadn't noticed that before.

Thank you. It will be interesting to see if someone can show the predictive value of either ID or Biblical Creationism in the spin off thread.
