because you act like you're bringing us the "new gospel" (tm). we've had discussions about zeitgeist before, and they weren't complimentary.
and generally people who claim to be so much better at thinking are full of serious garbage. not to mention that you have no experience whatsoever with the religious community here and thus are probably not aware of the breadth of it. you might be surprised. pull up a chair and read for a bit. also, i'd bet a fat e-gold star sixth grade wasn't that long ago for you. OmG dude ...who put the carrot in your ass?
Thanks for the pseudo-advice ahole...next time go out and get laid instead of venting your frustration of irregularity. I don't and never have claimed to be better than anyone, but you for some wierd reason have this psycho notion that you know who I am, and have labeled me based on 2 posts!...So in actuality its u who hasn't either passed 6th grade or maybe even experienced puberty.

This is an education topic. Regarding ID. And whether it should be taught. Let's stick to that. There is a thread regarding Zeitgeist: ZeitGeist

Allow me to strengthen the warning posted by AdminModulous. A repetition of the swearing and personal attacks will earn you an opportunity to peruse the forum guidelines at your leisure - i.e., a short suspension. This behavior is uncalled for.
To brenna: the "6th grade" reference was unnecessary. Please refrain from further comments/thinly-veiled insult of this nature. Thanks.

My apologies for going too far, but I just couldn't take anymore of his berating. I don't mind criticism as I originally came to these forums to learn and discuss things.
I don't think ID should ever be put in schools, but instead should be made an official mythology story to join the rest of the greek stories.

I really think you should attend a church service or too. A real, bible teaching, God fearing church. Not one that gets in your face, a good church. You seem pretty confident in your beliefs, so you shouldn't be too challenged. Right? You might find it interesting. In the meantime, I am going to pray for you. I will pray that God will open your heart to his wonderful grace and love he is offering. I have to go to work now. Take care my friend. I did for years, that's why I am an atheist

Why teach about talking snakes? Why not just be honest about it and stick to the basics? An intelligent being of force created life. Supported by(theory theory theory). Pretty basic stuff really. what theory theory theory?

No, both. What's wrong with that. The students deserve to know ALL beliefs about their existence don't they. Besides aren't we supposed to be teaching tolerance and diversity? Shouldn't Christianity fit in there somewhere? fine then we must also include buddhism, hinduism, shinto, confucianism, islam, judaism, wiccan, + roman, greek, babylonian, egyptian, norse, etc, mythologies in science classes to give the students a well rounded education. DUHHHHHHH!

Could you please learn to use the individual reply button for replying to individuals you quote?
That (1) makes your argument easier to follow and (2) LINKs the posts so you can review the previous one. It also sends an email to the person if they are set up that way. Thanks.

I'm going to throw a bone here, and it isn't out of generosity. The scientific educational practices do vary geographically. So while I may recite teaching practices relative to our own region, they would most likely differ from your own. Why would the big bang theory(unmeasurable by current scientific method) make it's way into school curriculum's whilst creation would not? Since when is the concept of a force or source of energy unworthy of scientific consideration? It would seem as though the big bang theory gets it's props by personal status while creation gets repelled by fear. Whatever the case, these aspect of scientific education are bound by a biased and closed minded system. Down the intelligent life beyond our own and in with illogical theories to circumvent the implications of the first rule. The Big bang is a scientific theory based on evidence ie background radiation creationism is not a scientific theory, it is a belief based on faith and therefore not science.

are you serious? There is ONE version of Christianity. It's contained in the Bible. It is really simple. God Created the earth. That's all I'm talking about. This thread is about ID, not Math, History, etc. Am I right? So, with regards to which version of Christianity, it should be obvious. oh really how about: Baptist, Congregationalist, Unitarian, Lutheran, Anglican, Catholic, Orthodox, etc.

Why would the big bang theory(unmeasurable by current scientific method) ... Really? You should explain this to scientists, they'd be fascinated to learn this.
It would seem as though the big bang theory gets it's props by personal status while creation gets repelled by fear. Ah, paranoia and projection.

Maybe I haven't read enough but I've just joined the site and all I see is evolutionists agreeing with evolutionists. Are there no creationists on this site or have they all been chased away???

Yeah, creationists usually don't like it when their cherished creation myths cannot hold up under close scrutiny, and so they leave.
Added by edit: That said, there a few creationist members here, but they tend to avoid the science forums. If you want to engage them, you usually have to discuss a topic in politics or social issues. But we do get creationists (sometimes new, sometimes old) who come in to discuss creationism or evolution. Edited by Chiroptera, : No reason given. Computers have cut-and-paste functions. So does right-wing historical memory. -- Rick Perlstein
