because they want it to. there's no proof. they just really hope really strongly, just like autism parents. because then they can blame something.

Re: Anti-perspirants/alzheimers connection
I rarely use any anti-perspirants or deodorants, which, probably sounds funky to you. But for some bizarre reason, I have not been afflicted by the B.O. monster. The only times any natural body odor occurs is after a really hard workout.
This is the same for me... and I suspect most people.
Perspiration does not mean odour. I supposed a steaming sweaty mess can be disgusting in its own way (huge pit stains), but it is usually the bacteria which cause the smell. For some it is really bad, for some it isn't so bad.
One question might be if the problem in the OP is related to anti-perspirant chemicals, or deodorant chemicals.
For a time I used a natural salt "block" as a deodorant. I'd still sweat but the bacteria wouldn't live to be smelly. That seemed to work just as well as manufactured stuff.

most people, probably. but then there's we who need prescription strength stuff. no deodorant alone ever worked for me. and that's not even speaking of the sweating, just the odor.

Re: Anti-perspirants/alzheimers connection
Well... not all sweat (i.e. underarm bacteria) smells bad either. I've known some girls who had a very strong underarm odour that drove me crazy. They were pretty popular with others too.
I hope you smell good. Because of course I have known people that are just plain rank. Blech.

I'm allergic to antiperspirants, they make the area affected break out in an itchy rash that spreads to my whole chest. This occurred relatively quickly long after puberty (so that is not a link). This has even happened with similar soaps now (one shower was enough, more than enough ...).
As holmes says, it stinks.

to be helpful
I felt bad about making fun of your plight, so I decided to see if I could find something that might be useful.
Here is a site selling the same kind o mineral compound I used for a while. I'm not suggesting you buy from them, but it gives you an idea what it is and you can shop around for the best buy.
The key is that while you will sweat, you will not have any odour. Now maybe you have some kind of condition that it can't beat. All I know is that it worked for me and a gf I had at the time. The only reason why I stopped using it is that I decided to stop using anything altogether, except every once in a while using a simple anti-perspirant when that's what I'd want to stop.
I don't know if you shave your pits or not, but shaving does reduce the smell (reducing areas for bacteria to grow). Personally I like girls with armpit hair so I'd hate to recommend that, but there ya go.
I can't imagine having my own body smell cause me physical pain. The more I think about it the more I feel bad I made my joke. Sorry.
