That's pretty cool. I'm definitely interested in seeing if they manage to propagate submerged.

I can get the same bubbling on my own aquatic plants (pearling) by injecting CO2 into the water column. Not that mushrooms are the same as plants, but the effect looks the same.

And how could they propagate upstream? Seems to me the spores can only travel downstream unless there's some kind of carrier involved.
