Star Wars - Join the Rebellion
I'll never be able to watch my favourite film again without mulling over this...

Re: Star Wars - Join the Rebellion
it says it's not available in my country!
Yeah, we don't make our good stuff available to rogue states. Pay the 200 years of back-tax owed, and we'll send you a working link.

Nothing like a bit of confidence
Britain has never had much luck in the Tennis arena - but yesterday Laura Robson (14) won the girls' title. Watch this post-match interview from yesterday. Following her very well-spoken replies, her last comment had me in hysterics for the remainder of the evening. Go Laura
Robson ecstatic after winning girls' title

Re: Gov. Palin's 17 year old daughter Bristol is pregnant
Would it be less ironic and less humorous if Gov. Palin advocated condom dispenseries and her daughter still got pregnant?
Yes, for blatently obvious reasons

Help, I'm dying...
Have just sent these to my old CoC RPG gang.
Thank you, Granny. Very much appreciated.

WEYRICH: Here is the real problem. It has been known for many years that Congressman Foley was a homosexual. Homosexuals tend to be preoccupied with sex. The idea that he should be continued -- or should have been continued as chairman of the Committee on Missing and Exploited Children is, you know, given their knowledge of that, is just outrageous.
NORRIS: Now before we go on, I think I can say, Mr. Weyrich, that there are quite a few people who would take exception to the statement that homosexuals are preoccupied with sex.
WEYRICH: Well, I don't care whether they take exception to it. It happens to be true. I mean --
NORRIS: That is your opinion.
WEYRICH: Well, it's not my opinion. It's the opinion of many psychologists and psychiatrists who have to deal with them. "
The homophobia is pathetic, but the stupidity is astounding This is the childish level of homophobic argumentation I expect at EvC. I would like to think that retards like this wouldn't survive two minutes under the UK press (obviously excepting the Daily Mail...)

Re: Thankfully Stephen Hawking has good American health care
If it wasn't for Addenbrookes, he would have died umpteen times over by now...
But at least that article gets his damn name right - wish more could be said for your president
US honours Poitier, Tutu and Hawking

And in follow-up news, Eddison has just invented the light-bulb, Newton publishes his Third Law, and wheels apparently are better when they are round...
