Hi willietdog, Also pretty handy is this function, which allows you to turn long and cumbersome url's into handy little clicky links, just like the ones on Wikipedia. This is especially handy when you want to cite an url which is too long to fit on the page.

Thanks for the info! I didn't know the dBCode for a hyperlink. However, I do know quite a bit of HTML with which I can do the same thing.

One think I don't know Ahem.... Spellcheck!
where do you find topic and forum number? In the address bar. Towards the right side, you can see f=, t= and an m=. These represent the forum, thread and message numebers, respectively. Just make sure that the address is for the message that you want to link too. You might have to click on the actual message, like from the one it was replied too, to get the address to point to that message.

Actually, if you want to link directly to a particular message, you need to make sure that there is a "#__" at the end of the url. For example, the link to CS's message is http:// EvC Forum: quotes --> EvC Forum: quotes

It's important that the "m" number and the "#" number be the same
Actually, if you want to link directly to a particular message, you need to make sure that there is a "#__" at the end of the url. For example, the link to CS's message is http:// EvC Forum: quotes --> EvC Forum: quotes It is best that for such as "m=7#7" the two numbers be the same. If they are not, then the other person may not get directly to message 7. Individual members can set how many messages per page then want displayed. This can be as small as 5 messages per page. For such, a link containing "m=5#7" will get you to the page with message 5 on it. But message 7 is not on that some page. On the other hand, if the page setup is for 10 messages per page, then "m=5#7" would work fine. Adminnemooseus
