I believe the admins here are sincerely interested in promoting fairness and balance in this forum's discussions. Most of the time they seem to be successful. But there is a special topic here for special people”About prop 8 and other anti gay rights props”on which only one POV is allowed a voice. Those who have opposite opinions must suffer accusations of bigotry and risk suspensions or worse.
Now, I've been warned by the admins to never go near this topic again, or otherwise I'm banned for good. My history with this topic was punctuated almost from the start by those who opposed my POV when they called me a "bigot" for not seeing things their way. And it was not until then that I fought back and eventually led a long debate on the meaning of bigotry.
I don't like being called a bigot, because I am not one. And I still contend that those who accuse others of bigotry simply because they hold different POVs are the true bigots. Yet the admins here tolerate them and protect their POV, while they bar me from posting counter-arguments.
Is this fair in a world that allows lizards to evolve into hummingbirds?

Opposite Opinions
Those who have opposite opinions must suffer accusations of bigotry and risk suspensions or worse.
It is not necessarily those with an opposite opinion; it is you personally who is kept from cluttering up topics. We know your opinion, you've had ample opportunity to express it, the posts are still there. We don't want to hear about it from you again.

The administrative position on this issue will not be changed.

My Statute of Limitations
Dear Admins,
May I please have my new-topic posting privileges restored? I've been real nice to everyone, ever since I reformed myself into Fosdick The Fearless. I've even been kind to the nasty ones after they called me a hater, a nutjob, a bastard, and a bigot. So, I've proven my new self to be a decent poster. Aren't my statute of limitations up yet?
Sincerely,
”FTF

Re: My Statute of Limitations
Experience over the years indicates that administrative actions almost never result in long term behavior changes. All that happens is a cycle of improvements and relapses interspersed with suspensions. Because recidivism is almost always the rule, because behavioral change is almost never permanent, it will often be decided that certain administrative actions should not be reversed.
This means that the decision that you should not be permitted to participate in threads touching on gay issues will never be rescinded, and that there's no point in continuing to ask.
Please keep in mind that permanent suspensions are never reversed, and that a permanent suspension would be the result should you post a message to a gay issues thread.
