I believe we are here for a reason(I cannot prove for what reason).
I believe the world is knowable and I believe we will one day be able to find out all answers to all questions(and at that time we may well be transcendental and timeless).
I believe God has nothing to do with what the Bible says about him.
I believe that life is common throughout the universe and that we will find another Earth-like planet within a decade.
I believe everything happens for a reason.
I believe the universe does not split on every possible interaction creating infinite universes, in some of which Saddam Hussein is friends with G.W.Bush or Bin Laden is fighting against islamists.
I believe the most beautiful girls in the world live in Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Thailand.

Merry Christmakwanzahanukkah
Thank you for the exchange.
I believe the most beautiful girls in the world live in Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Thailand.
lol - I believe you may be right (although I cannot prove it).
I also believe mankind will not be able to prevent itself from committing species suicide.
Historically speaking, I believe it will occur sooner than later; within one hundred years from WW2.
I believe technology will sustain humanity to its population limit, but technology will not save it from catastrophe, and military technologies like weaponized chemicals and atom bombs will facilitate the disaster.
I believe we will all see the face of the God who Loves us the most.
I believe I wish everybody @ EVC a Merry Christmakwanzahanukkah and a Happy Holiday season !!

Ah, but do you believe in the reindeer too?
That's what always gets me: Santa visiting everyone in a single night, with time dilation, warp drive or whatever is okay with me (I don't understand physics, anyway), but flying reindeer is too much.

Personally, I still believe in Jesus, heaven and eternal life, even though I now think it's very silly and probably unrealistic.

Lo, the poor Indian!
I believe God has nothing to do with what the Bible says about him.
Lo, the poor Indian! whose untutor'd mind
Sees God in clouds, or hears him in the wind;
His soul proud Science never taught to stray
Far as the solar walk or milky way;
Yet simple Nature to his hope has giv'n,
Behind the cloud-topp'd hill, a humbler heav'n;
Some safer world in depth of woods embrac'd,
Some happier island in the wat'ry waste,
Where slaves once more their native land behold,
No fiends torment, no Christians thirst for gold!
To be, contents his natural desire;
He asks no angel's wing, no seraph's fire:
But thinks, admitted to that equal sky,
His faithful dog shall bear him company.

What do you believe is true, even though you cannot prove it?
Nothing. I accept certain things such as evolution, plate tectonics, gravity, relativity etc. but I believe nothing that has no evidence.

If you're a christian, you're not suppose to believe in life elsewhere in the universe. Why? (1) The bible never mentions any creation elsewhere, (2) we're god's special and there is no other, and (3) the rapture is suppose to be happening pretty darn soon (anytime now).

There are a number of scriptures relative to life in the cosmos. There are other son's of God mentioned in Job 1 who came to present themselves to God and Satan showed up with them.
In Revelation 5:11 we are told that there are beasts/living creatures, 24 elder creatures serving God and thousands of thousands of angelic creatures assembled in the vicinity of God's throne. In other texts cherub and seraphims etc are mentioned as being out there.
In Daniel it mentions spirit beings who are assigned to nations, evidently assigned by Satan. One of these withstood an angel sent to Daniel but Michael the archangel came to fight the evil one and helped the lesser angel get to Daniel. So there is apparently warfare going on in the cosmos Perhaps that explains some of the warfare and evil that ensues upon planet earth. See Daniel 10:13,14
In Revelation 12 we read a time when Satan and his host of angels are cast out of heaven and onto earth where they inspire the end time antichrist world regime to make war with saints of God and overcome them. This is the great tribulation in which Christians are martyred globally. It's all emerging upon us.
Contrary to what most evangelicals teach, the rapture catching up of Christians to heaven does not happen until after this great tribulation, the darkening of sun and moon, heavens shaken and Christ seen in the clouds etc. . See Mark 13:24-28.

I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It's just that the translations have gone wrong.
