Here is the link: Censored New Scientist article: How to spot a hidden religious agenda

It seems that New Scientists was sued for libel, and they had to take the article down. Reading the article, I could not find anything inacurate in it.

I find it interesting that someone would take offence at something that does not contain any inacuracies.

What do you guys think?

For me, the link you provided is to a webpage that says that they've removed the article on the advice of their lawyers. Did you read the article in the print edition?

Anyway, I found the article in the print edition and used a couple phrases from it to find a copy that had been posted on the web over at a Google group called Atheism vs Christianity:

How to spot a hidden religious agenda

In the print edition the title was Hidden religious agendas and how to spot them.

I've just read the article and i just can't see what is libelous about it from a legal point of view. Maybe some creationists or Idist could tell us what's wrong with this article.

On another related note,I wonder why creationists pays so much for lawyers instead of research. Maybe they would get more results and publications in scientific journals if they didn't spend most of their money in courts.

I read the article, too (while my girlfriend was doing the shopping) and I can't remember anything you could call libel.

Seemed like common sense to me.

Makes me wonder why they bother doing this if their ideas are sound and can stand up to scrutiny.

What a coincidence. I watched the Atheist Experience's new show yesterday, and they brought this up too, though i don't recall them saying it was censored.
