As you can tell I'm new to this forum

But I'm seeing all these threads closed for spam, and was wondering if the Mods / Administrators are using any plugins like StopForumSpam.
​
I've used it on my site, and what it does is checks new users against their IP list / E-Mails, and any that match can't sign up automatically, though the Mods / Admins can manually validate the account if they wish.

Registration validation is on the todo list for the forum software, but we're lacking in developers. We'd have to agree on any approach taken, but if you'd like to work on this then join the team.

While I'd love to help modify the software to help with this, I've got a few other projects that are already on the burner, including some calibration software I've got to rewrite.
