Pandion
Two new members have surely made this a week to remember. I'd like to nominate Pandion for post 218 in Seashells on Tops of mountains. He's set an example for all.
Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions. Ideas must be distinct before reason can act upon them.

Re: Pandion
Make it 2 votes for Pandion. I'll second that... "Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear." Thomas Jefferson

The Poorly Named Dr. Adequate
Author: Dr. Adequate Forum: Is It Science? Thread: The Scientific Method For Beginners Message #: Message 20 Dr. Adequate always produces excellent clarity when dissecting the foundations of Creationist positions. Here he explains the subtle difference between experimentation and observation. He then goes on to show how each aspect is understood with respect to the scientific method.

Re: The Poorly Named Dr. Adequate
I agree with Stile. Dr Adequate has a way with words that makes his posts very "to the point"

Rahvin, at "Divinity of Jesus"
Rahvin in topic: Divinity of Jesus post #372 Rahvin in a sense socks it to John 10:10 in a manner which shows the errors in Johns views. He does it without blasting John, but blasting his attacks on others and condemns his prosyltyzing. Great Work!! Edited by Adminnemooseus, : Put in space to get rid of smiley. Add link to message. Add subtitle.

Thanks, Cat! Debating on the side of Peg and Jehovah's Witnesses in general was not exactly something I would have predicted for myself.

Percy on What is an ID proponent's basis of comparison? (edited)
Message 150 of What is an ID proponent's basis of comparison? (edited) I've been following this thread for some time, and it is interesting to see the different takes on how the mutation rate change is interpreted.
Whoa! That seemed a little weird, so I've read up on this a bit more, and I think I can make sense out of it if more details are added. Tell me if I've got this straight. Here Percy is willing to admit he may have misunderstood the original article, professional enough to go back and check the source, then reformulates his position based on this review, and asks if he has it right. Another post that contradicts the impression of some people of evolutionists being bound by dogma and prior belief. Not only is the honesty refreshing, but I learned more about the mechanisms involved in the process. Well done sir and kudos. we are limited in our ability to understand by our ability to understand

Gee, this is unexpected. Thanks! For those interested, stay tuned for Wounded King's response. I continued reading about the mechanism used by fluoroquinolone antibiotics, and I think I'm still wrong about when the mutations happen. I think they may actually happen during replication, but I haven't come across the details yet. Rather than me taking another stab at getting it right I'll just wait for Wounded King. --Percy
