Here's a lovely set of poll results:
Texans: Dinosaurs, Humans Walked the Earth at Same Time | The Texas Tribune
59% of my fellow Texans either think dinosaurs and humans coexisted, or "don't know" if they did. 65% disagree or "don't know" that humans descended from other animals.
I think I'll go get a beer to cry into.

I'd get several, if I were you.

Hi Coragyps,
29% said they go to church once or twice a year.
Wow. Displays of devotion like that are hard to argue with.

The scary thing is Texas has enough resources to survive on its own when the shit hits the fan. Just imagine, The Independent Republic of Young Earth Creationist Texas.

Just imagine, The Independent Republic of Young Earth Creationist Texas.
If only. It would make things so much easier if all these nutjobs all moved to one area of the country and then seceded. I think the average IQ would go up about 50 points for the rest of the country and the advancement of science and technology would exponentially increase.

One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we've been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We're no longer interested in finding out the truth. Yeah, but then their president would one day get a message from god to launch a nuclear attack against the rest of the country.l

Yeah, but then their president would one day get a message from god to launch a nuclear attack against the rest of the country.
The message from God would probably come from Patt Robertson. And they would probably elect Glen Beck or Rush Loudmouth President. Wouldn't that be scary.

No need for "Birthers"
Not without seeing their long-form Texas birth certificates first....
Forgive me for the insensitive presumptuousness, but does anyone really think birthplace would be a prerequisite? I mean, the belief that we were hocus-pocused into existence 6000-odd years ago, ownership of a minimum of 8 assault rifles, and inability to pronounce "nuclear" ought to about do it for election to the highest office in URT, yes?
(sorry Coragyps)
Have a good one.

Don't apologize, Apothecus: you're correct. And nobody in the right wing cares about birth certificates for low-skin-melanin folks like Limbaugh, anyway.

That would be nice, Coragyps. What's needful for passports hadn't ought to be too much of a bother for the president and commander in chief of the military.
