Re: What about the lazy?
Hi Stile,
I've got good news and bad news.
First the bad news. About name completion, not yet. I don't know when I'll get to it. Sorry.
But now some good news. You can now select names from your contact lists into the "To", "Cc" and "Bcc" boxes. Anyone you've ever sent a message to is already in your "All Contacts" list. If you click on the "To" or "Cc" or "Bcc" links it will bring up a box with all the names from your "All Contacts" list. Just click on the names and they're added to the list of names already in the input box.
You can select a different contact list. The last contact list selected is persistent. It will be the one selected the next time you click on the "To", "Cc" or "Bcc" link. Each link separately maintains which contact list is selected for it.

No "replied to" flag on message received?
I just relied to a PM. I see no indication in the inbox indicating that I did a reply (the reply is in the sent/outbox).

Re: No "replied to" flag on message received?
There is no "I replied to this message" flag as of yet. Is this a request for one? If so, would you like it to be just a flag, or would you like to know the actual date/time that you replied? If the latter, if you reply more than once is just the information for the most recent reply sufficient?

Re: No "replied to" flag on message received?
No big deal, but I thought somesort of flag would be a nice touch.
Just a simple flag, no time/dates needed.

Re: Query Error
When I try to read my messages I get this error: I have no idea of what manual to check or what MySQL is.
Query error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 1.
Query string: update evcPmMessages set Opened=1 where MID in ()

Re: Query Error
Hi Buz!
Thanks for finding this bug. It's actually a message for me, telling me that *I* should check *my* MySQL manual.
But I can tell what happened. In the row that begins "Mark Selected" you clicked on "Read", causing it to try to mark all selected messages to the "read" state, meaning that you'd already read them. Since you had nothing selected there was nothing to place between the parentheses of the MySQL command, and empty parentheses are illegal syntax.
What *should* have happened is that it should first have checked if you had anything selected and then done nothing. I'll fix it tonight.

Re: Query Error
There's nothing to prevent you from using it now, just don't request an action on selected items when nothing is selected.

Re: Query Error Fixed
Thanks, Admin. It's working fine now. There's so much to do here that it just occurred to me today that I hadn't paid any attention to messaging.

I shall cry myself to sleep for endless nights as a sculptor with broken hands.
Sometime I'm a dramatic lazy ass

Fucking. Eh.
That's how we say it up in Canada-land.
All in all, thanks for all the cool features. The basic form of the EvC forum software is already head-and-shoulders above any other I've seen. All these extra goodies are just gravy. Swimmin' in gravy!! ...that sounded better in my head.
