Hi folks
I'll be up in New Hapmpshire for the rest of the week touring Phillips Exeter Academy (PEA)*, where I plan to micturate* for my Junior and Senior years.
This is to serve two purposes: 1) To socialize me. Few would know form reading my posts that I am eminently socially inept. Having been home schooled through the 8th grade and having only two friends both living 90 miles away I do not suffer my peers gladly. 2) The disciplined structure I've grown accustomed to was sorely disturbed this last year due to my stupid, thieving, pot smoking, Baltimore cousin. I will be boarding at the academy, away from the disturbance, in the hope that I'll be able to give my full attention to my studies.
Has anyone here attended or taught at PEA?
Any favored dorms?
Most of the recruitment talk I've gotten so far is hard sell about their fun traditions. I don't like fun traditions. I think they are trying to appeal to my mum and dad. I fear I'll be ever an outsider. I'm not particularly good at inculcating myself into social settings. How cliquey is residential life at PEA?
Ok, a bit of a touchy question, as a black kid, a smart, black kid, do I risk being a token? I really, really hate being introduce to visiting pols.
And anything anyone else thinks of great import. My opinion has never been sought before on the procession of my life. I'd like to have a semi-informed one.
Thanks

Where to Start?
I had a post done up yesterday, but it met a fate worse than death. Well, exactly like death, ‘sept it wasn’t alive to start with. Ok, it’s somewhere in the ether and here’s a partial replacement with all the best bits left out. Actually, it disappeared in a preview attempt just at 5:45 PM.
I’m glad, I suppose, that I’m thought older than I am. My mum isn’t currently of the same opinion. She spent a goodly portion of the week giving me grief about telling people that I didn’t know information that they shouldn’t have. I thank you all for your interest, but the Chief of Security has placed me on probation (half-hour/day), so I’ll not be going into much about the visit. I don’t think I’d be giving too much away were I to mention that between Wednesday afternoon and Sunday morning I was stung by a bee on my right thumb.
I would have hoped that Googling it was assumed. Of course I Googled it. I’ve Googled it eight ways till Sunday for the past 18 months. No one has yet come across with the real skinny and said don’t eat the meat loaf. And I asked it of you guys here because you guys here are all the guys I have to ask it of.
I’m not a shy teen. I’m comfortabe speaking to people when something is to be said, but I’m not a fan of gossipy jibber-jabber. I’ve been told my idle chit-chat has the foul stench of bullsh*t. I’m cordial, but not affectionate. Like I said: I’ve two friends, both of whom live 90 miles away. We’d not likely be friends for long if they lived nearer by (And I don’t recall having ever touched either one of them, and never but never broached Dr. Adequate’s suggestion .).
I don’t much worry about anyone not liking me because of the color of my skin. I don’t see the point of wearing a button that reads Attention Malefactors: Press Here to Offend Me. I do, however, detest people liking me because of the color of my skin. But good news, people disliked me for me .
My mum is from Ghana: a former Crown Colony. I was born in the Illinois. I did use mom the other day for effect. (Note, again, my signature.) I think mom sounds strange. But, if you search lyx2no posts you’ll find Uncle lyx2no used mom. He also said I use too many colons and semicolons: It shows an inability to separate ones thoughts clearly.
Bad Oni. You have been talking about me behind my back. haven’t you? There isn’t much I can do about it though. If you’re ever up this way I can meet you at the Mac Store at Wareham Crossing. What color van will you be driving? And yes, he did teach me everything I know. It was he that home schooled me up until he was no longer able to do so. That is why I started going to school school. BTW, I loved the line sitting in a kitchen holding a 6-pack of Mike's Hard Lemonade and talking to Chris Hansen.
Oh! And one more thing, can any of you guys buy me some beer? I left my I.D. at home.

Our Gods are Best Kept at a Distance
Hi Dr.
But maybe the "real skinny" is not "don't eat the meat loaf".
The real skinny at the school I currently attend is that one doesn’t take a second semester courses in either of the two rooms adjoining the memorial garden: they get no sun in February nor air in May; also, the handle of the second urinal squirts water down ones shirt when flushed. I was unable to find either of these facts on the world wide web.
I presented you with statistics showing that in no way are you a "token black" at that school. The words "thank you" would have been a sufficient reward.
You are correct as usual; thank you, Dr. It is possible that I misapply token. My current school is well stocked minority wise, but it is non-the-less me that gets hauled out before the visiting dignitaries. I like to assume this is because I’m brilliant, but that would require me to cherry pick the evidence.
and now you are frightened
Frightened? I don’t know the meaning of the word. (Which sort of calls into question the quality of my education.) But I do know the meaning of the word pestered.
and some people will overtly or covertly hate you for the color of your skin.
I place little credence in the opinions of cretins. If they want to hate me, I simply won’t hire them.
Thank you, also, for supplying post 24. My best joke for the week would not have been possible without you.

And Faith, If you’re still perusing EvC, your theory of nothing good comes from error is skewered once again by the double entendre.

Oni, I’m ‘ome
It's like you're almost him. Is there anything about you that's original?
Is there anything about any of us that is original. It isn’t very original of me to speak English, but Buzsaw has already taken speaking Notenglish, so that wouldn’t be original either.

I'm not following, I guess it's me though.
I don’t follow what bit you don’t follow. Uncle didn’t become an invalid the day he fell ill: before I even started school. He had his own house to live in. Was he not allowed to home school me unless he live in the same house as I?
Did you notice a few lines down I also wrote He was my best friend and teacher.? Now, if I’d a Freudian slip there and wrote instead Me was my best friend and teacher. you’d of had me.

To Our Creationist Friends
I would like to use post 75 & 76 as witness to your efforts here at EvC as being not in vain. While you may have yet to convince any atheists to turn their paths away from the evilotion, you have convinced two members, Onifre and Theodoric, to read like you.
Becomes
Oni writes:
since 8th grade
Onifre writes:
Some inconsistencies don't you think?
Why, yes, Onifre, I do. Just not mine.
lyx writes:
Uncle didn’t become an invalid the day he fell ill: before I even started school. He had his own house to live in. Was he not allowed to home school me unless he live in the same house as I?
Becomes
Theo reads what lyx writes:
He had his own house to live in. Was he not allowed to home school me unless he live in the same house as I?
He did eventually become and invalid. Through stages. I’ll walk you through them. He stayed in that house. Then he stayed in this house. And now he stays in that urn.
Just like you creationist, they weave stories in their heads and it’s up to others to undo the knots. Knots they clinch their righteous fists.
Is it not wonderful. The Lord works in mysterious ways. But beware Creationists, now is not the time to rest on your laurels. Even now, others roll their eyes in disbelief and apply critical thought. Turn them; slowly turn them to the brown side of the force.

Re: Oni, I’m ‘ome
Thank you cd. Corrections are always appreciated. I used are for our the other day and didn’t catch it. A thirteen year old caught it. There has to be some trick to proofreading that I’m not getting. Way too many slip by me.
A correction such as The nut isn’t a point mass, Homeslice. when I write things like The nut will not be spinning at all. would be helpful too.
