I noticed the "mum" as well, and was thinking of asking why an American would use that spelling.
It's common for people from the Boston/Mass area to use 'mum' instead of 'mom'.
I still think he's not a kid...I always thought this. This whole thread has the foul stench of bullshit.

Oh, look, the conspiracy theorist speaks.
He scents a conspiracy.
You've been a little snippy on this thread, Dr. A, what's up, ran out of Vicodin or something?
But also he's been posting here for more than a year, with over 1000 posts, and he's always come across as an honest straightforward kind of guy. But you think that now, suddenly, he's going to play us all for fools ... for no conceivable benefit for himself?
As Straggler mentioned, I've stated my case before. Did you forget the Obit thread where "someone" (his mum) announced that the "original" lyx2no passed away?
Then chimes in young lyx2no claiming the OG was his uncle, and apparently his uncle mentioned EvC to young lyx which has now become obsessed with this site.
To quote the young fella:
quote:
I am the oldest so I got his room, along with his books, rocks and computer. He loved arguing and telling me things. This site was on his computer. He had mentioned it more then once. I wanted to see what it was about.
So this is allegedly the 2nd version of lyx.
Now, since we have both poster's posts archived you can go back to the "uncle" and read those posts, then read the young fellas posts and see if they match, are similar writing styles, use the same writing patterns, etc.
So I did and TO ME it seems iiiiidentical. <---- Vinny)
Uncle lyx from Universe Race
quote:
Tesla
Please, you do the math and show it to us because the results of your math are not at all transparent.
I have done the math and find that between T=10E-43 and T=dt that the Universe comprised of infinitely long telephone lines packed cheek to jowl with sparrows whistling the theme to Gilligan's Island.
You do the math to see if I'm not correct.
Young lyx from My encounter with Allah
quote:
The same thing happened to me, but the laser beam was blue and sounded like a paper shredder full of American cheese, and instead of Megan Kelly on Fox News, the channel that adores you, it was Matt Damon doing a guesst (Yes! with 2 esses!!!!!!!) appearance on Payton Place.
To me, it seems the sarcasm, writing styles, referencing tactic in the jokes, method of delivery is all too similar.
And I just picked two random posts that were short.
I find it easier to believe that he is, as he represents himself, a smart teenager, than that he's a smart adult pretending to be a teenager for reasons that so far escape us.
Why do people dress up like furry animals and have sex? Are you serious?
The fact that he can be a teenager amongst a group of ignorant grown up adult creationist seems like a fun identity to take on a forum where no one can know your real age. People fake their identity on the internets all the time, dude. For what reason I don't know. But I'm sure right now there's a dude talking to what he thinks is a kid online, only to then find himself in the future sitting in a kitchen holding a 6-pack of Mike's Hard Lemonade and talking to Chris Hansen. Or a guy thinking he's talking to an attractive woman but in actuality he's talking to an unattractive guy who's just fucking with him.
It's the internet, that's why someone can do it. That's why people have done it. And I feel lyx is doing it too.
Now that's just my opinion, so throw back a few Vicodin's and relax, Doc.

But with what motive? If it's supposed to be a practical joke, then you could hardly make the case for maturity, could you?
It may go deeper than just a practical joke. I 'm not going to speculate on why, it just seems that way to me.

Don't piss me off.
That's when he's at his best!
Yes, but the fact that people can do it doesn't mean that this is often done. I believe that you're a stand-up comedian, 'cos you say so.
Well I also have a website ---- Btw I have a new website guys (shameless promotion) - still working on it - with an e-mail list that updates for upcoming shows. Oni Perez.
But I agree, just because you can doesn't mean you do it. But if he is, man is it a cool idea.
And lyx2no says he's 15. Why should we doubt him?
The posting styles and the whole obit thing threw me personally into suspicion. That's the only reason I doubted it.
If I'm wrong, I lose nothing. At the most, I lose a few moments of my life by posting this stuff, and if I really cared about that I could give up smoking.
But if you're wrong, you're being needlessly unpleasant to someone who by all the other available evidence is a nice guy.
Now if only you could be so sweet to creationist.
I get what you mean though, I like lyx too. I think he's hilarious, who ever or what ever age he is.
I prefer to err on the side of caution. I'm going to take him at face value until he actually starts asking me for money. What do I have to lose?
True dat.

Re: Celebrating Diversity
I am a transexual American conservative republican creationist senator who owns an arsenal of guns and an air craft hanger full of gas guzzling oil-mobiles. I hate cyclists, have never been to Europe (Goddam I have never left Alaska - Why would anyone?) and write material for Fox news.
My online persona is a complete fabrication and I am delighted that I no longer need to live the lie.
Palin for pres!!!!!
I knew you were a transexual, Palin!!! Btw, sorry I got your daughter prego.

Re: Where to Start?
Bad Oni. You have been talking about me behind my back. haven’t you? There isn’t much I can do about it though
Behind your back? Lol. That's impossible to do in an internet forum.
If you’re ever up this way I can meet you at the Mac Store at Wareham Crossing. What color van will you be driving?
Dude, if you are 16 hopefully you're not getting lured into vans anymore. If you are, then I'm sure you know what you're doing at that point.
And yes, he did teach me everything I know.
It's like you're almost him. Is there anything about you that's original?
It was he that home schooled me up until he was no longer able to do so
? --- Obit:
quote:
About ten years ago he was in Africa and got parasites. About four years ago he came to live with us and spent a lot of time in the hospital. They kept having to remove bits that had become necrotic. It was the only time he could leave his bed since the beginning of summer.
I'm not following, I guess it's me though.
BTW, I loved the line sitting in a kitchen holding a 6-pack of Mike's Hard Lemonade and talking to Chris Hansen.
Thanks, it's not mine though. Another comic, friend of mine, does this bit. If we're being honest.

Re: Oni, I’m ‘ome
I don’t follow what bit you don’t follow. Uncle didn’t become an invalid the day he fell ill: before I even started school. He had his own house to live in. Was he not allowed to home school me unless he live in the same house as I?
Well I've read in other threads that you were in Catholic school Source
quote:
I'm taking physics, chemistry, Earth sciences and biology with 1087, 979, 376 and 689 pages respectively. Both the Earth sciences and biology texts mention evolution for a grand total of 37 pages. I think we do better in my Catholic school then the kids in the public schools.
...you're also claiming to have been home schooled since 8th grade, by an uncle who spent a lot of time in the hospital (plus you and he have identical writting styles) so... it's throwing me off a bit. Some inconsistencies don't you think?
Did you notice a few lines down I also wrote He was my best friend and teacher.?
I did read that then but, I thought it was more in the context of "the uncle that teaches things," rather than your actual teacher, since on other occasions you claimed to be in Catholic school.
You said:
quote:
I am the oldest so I got his room, along with his books, rocks and computer. He loved arguing and telling me things. This site was on his computer. He had mentioned it more then once. I wanted to see what it was about.
There was no mention of him being your home school teacher. He liked to tell you things is what I gathered from this.

Re: The famous squirting handle
Why am I reminded of Spaceballs where Dark Helmet checks the video of the film Spaceballs to see what happens next...
When will then be now? Soon...
