Europa, let me tell you something that will make you feel better.Ever since Percy came out with the new rating system, I have made it my personal mission to give out as many 1's as possible. I've been giving out 1 to random people and their posts. But I just gave you a 5 because I felt bad for you. That's the first non-1 I have given ever since the ratings got started.You should feel honored that you got to my sympathy side.Added by edit.There, I just gave every post in this thread a 1 except your OP. The point is no one cares about the rating. On a serious note, I think it's meaningless because intellectual and scientific truths aren't governed by democracy. Please shoot me when they are.In essence, it's just a popularity contest. And since this forum is lopsided on one side of the debate, guess who's going to have a tough time with the popularity contest?

It's all those people who give out numbers for personal or random reasons but don't say anything that you should be worried about.I have been previously involved in a forum where it had the same post rating system. Before we know it, there were organized "attacks" of 1's and 0's. I actually did an experiment where I disagreed with some of the most popular members. After that, just about every post I made received a 1 or 0. Even the posts I made with a simple "haha" or compliment to someone else's comment received 1's and 0's.Suffice it to say, there were enough complaints so that the site owner decided to make it so you could see who gave you what points. As soon as their names were going to be made public, people stopped giving out 1's and 0's to random posts of those they don't like.The point is you're hung up on the wrong bad guy, dude. At least I'm up front about what I do and that it's not out of malice.It's like trying to find the anti-christ. Only a fool would think the anti-christ would have a sign on his forehead that says "anti-christ".
