But Buz as this signifies the end of the world and the final inevitable fulfilment of biblical prophecy shouldn't you be cheering this on with zeal and gusto?
If this is what you truly believe I don't understand your objections? Surely the sooner the better?
Hi Straggler. No man. That's not how it works. I'm in no way praying or hoping for apostacy from truth, bloodshed, pestalence, earthquake, death and destruction; all that ensues in the emerging end times. I'm doing all I can in order to stay off the Satan and demon inspired evil that involks the wrath of God and Armageddon upon earth.
I pray and hope for the salvation and enlightment of my friends here at EvC, my neighborhood and others before the destruction comes and it's too late! The resurrection of the just, having been justified by the vicarious sacrifice of the Jesus, saviour and lord/master is all the counts in the end.

BUZSAW B 4 U 2 C Y BUZ SAW.
The immeasurable present eternally extends the infinite past and infinitely consumes the eternal future.

Documentary on the subject
A Finnish documentary about "climategate" (Yes, with subs ):
Part one:
Part two:
Part three:

I hunt for the truth
I am the one Orgasmatron, the outstretched grasping hand
My image is of agony, my servants rape the land
Obsequious and arrogant, clandestine and vain
Two thousand years of misery, of torture in my name
Hypocrisy made paramount, paranoia the law
My name is called religion, sadistic, sacred whore.
-Lyrics by Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead

Re: Global warming is real!
It doesn't restrict our untapped natural resources such as wind, solar, nuclear, natural gas etc. Nuclear plants have very little emissions, and if it weren't for their scariness I'm sure we'd be getting much more of our energy from them.
It's more than just the scariness to the public : Governments, the nuclear industry and others have been trying to get the private sector to invest in nuclear power for decades, but no-ones buying, despite guarantees and subsisides, special deals etc. This should tell you something. Factoring in all the costs it's the most expensive way to boil water ever developed. The only benefit is you wind up with tons of weapons-grade fissile material, so nobody can afford to invest in this except governments, and you really have to want nuclear weapons to bother.
This is the best argument going to show that Iran secretly wants nuclear weapons, but you won't find any Western leader explaining the logic (because it applies to them equally).

"Documentary"? Is that any documentary in there? Or does it continue in the same hack job vein all the way through? (I didn't watch it all).

Perhaps "Biased guys say biased things" was a better title, I hadn't watched it yet when I posted that, my apologies.

Pretty much, yes. It's not very objective, and brings up the same stupid shit every other "climate doubter" does. Even the same e-mails are mentioned that are refuted in the earlier video I posted.
Well, at least you can't say I'm not "fair and balanced" .

'Climategate' review clears scientists of dishonesty
'Climategate' review clears scientists of dishonesty - CNN.com
quote:
London, England (CNN) -- An independent report released Wednesday into the leaked "Climategate" e-mails found no evidence to question the "rigor and honesty" of scientists involved.
The scandal fueled skepticism about the case for global warming just weeks before world leaders met to agree a global deal on climate change at a United Nations conference in Copenhagen last December.
The seven-month review, led by Muir Russell, found scientists at the University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit (CRU) did not unduly influence reports detailing the scale of the threat of global warming produced by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
"We went through this very carefully and we concluded that these behaviors did not damage our judgment of the integrity, the honesty, the rigor with which they had operated as scientists," Russell said.
I want an apology from every person who quote-mined those scientists. And I want Glen Beck's head on a platter.

"Those activists are just part of the same coverup and want to make us poor like Africa!"
I wonder how long till Beck comes out with something like that.

Nuclear Power

Mostly because the "public" is scared enough of it to protest in earnest. Too bad most don't understand it. Private investors don't want to invest in what they can't sell.

lectricit de France seems to make a profit using it. Contrary to what your statement indicates, France's electric rates are one of the lowest in Europe....strange that.
The only benefit is you wind up with tons of weapons-grade fissile material,...
That's kinda like saying, "The only benefit is you wind up with tons of ash, carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide..." about coal-fired electric plants. Um...did ya fergit 'bout them-thar electrons?
Didn't realize jason's post was so old when I first replied.
Edited by LinearAq, : No reason given.

Bump.
Because I have a feeling only a few people noticed my update on the matter because of the dark ages in evc. I also don't want to see people repeating a lie a couple months from now (ahem *buzsaw*).

Get used to it. You know that the lie will be repeated.
The original (false) charges of climate gate made for drama, and the were all over the media. The correction is merely boring, so is largely ignored by the media.

This is probably the most disappointing part of it all. For a month, they talked about the emails. They only mentioned the correction a couple seconds on their segments.
It will be like piltdown man. Decades after the fact and people will continue to repeat the lie saying scientists created the hoax.
