Re: Dawkins on religion run schools
This topic is in the "Links and Information" forum. It is a place to reference videos having something to do with conflicts between science and religion (perhaps the topic title should contain "Science vs. Religion" rather that "Evolution/Creationism"). Anyhow, the Dawkins video is close enough to be appropriate even if he hadn't touched upon creationism.
One of Dawkins' points was not even about what religious content the school may be teaching. It was, that at least some of the schools required that the family be of the specific church for the child to go to that school. Thus some children were locked out of attending their neighborhood school, which may well have a very fine education program in place.
But this is not a debate forum - It is a place to compile links. Please find or start an "Education and Creation/Evolution" forum topic if you wish to pursue this further.

Also, Fred Hoyle wasn't a creationist as the guy says in his video. Which would seem pretty obvious given that he was a proponent of the steady-state theory in cosmology, which says that the universe never had a beginning (obviously contradictory with any definition of being a ''creationist'')
That depends on which sort of creationist; the creationist who has no explanation for an eternal God/creator who has existed eternally in the heavens/cosmos or the logical creationist who assumes an eternal universe in which an eternal God has eternally existed, creating, destroying and managing the universe forever for his purpose and what pleases his purpose.

BUZSAW B 4 U 2 C Y BUZ SAW.
The immeasurable present eternally extends the infinite past and infinitely consumes the eternal future.
