jar writes in the Why Reuse Design thread, : Message 36
."..............why should anyone even care if there was a designer?" Why should anyone ask that question in the thread when it's not the thread topic? If you don't care, why are you in the thread? We get enough of you without this. Edited by Buzsaw, : appy message mid

This thread is for bringing discussion problems to the attention of moderators. Participants in a thread who have differences they'd like to hash out might try opening a thread over in Coffee House, or they could carry out a dialog via PM. --Admin
Quote mining and taking stuff out of context seems to be your norm Buz? Let's look at that in context.
jar writes: slevesque writes: And in both situation, we should be able to determine by looking at the object i nquestion if it was designed or not. Living things, according to me, show design. Yes, we know that you have said that. The question is, "what shows design and why should anyone even care if there was a designer?" I hope you can understand that the response was to an assertion that there was some way to determine that there was some designer. Edited by Admin, : Add moderator comment. Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

I've added this note at the message in question:
Adminnemooseus writes: Just this comment: This message was reported as signature spam. The message is a legitimate reply, although I don't know if on-topic. And I think it's OK to have a non-commercial site link in the "sig". So, no action taken - Adminnemooseus It would also be OK for Jar to have a "Dreamcatcher" link in his "signature". It might even be a good thing. Still, thanks for flagging that message. But please, no replies to this message. Adminnemooseus

Can't close it yet - The subtitle "Re: Deja Vu - The feeling this topic's been reopened before" has only been used 35 times so far. Let's shoot for 50 - Then we'll be talking quality deja vu (or something like that).

I see the problem as stemming from a single participant who cannot remain on topic, who ignores moderator requests, who abuses other participants, who makes grandiose claims of irrefutability, who cannot describe his viewpoints in a way understandable to anyone, and who despite claiming that he is working with me to develop a new thread proposal to discuss his views has not posted to that thread in a week. I've asked the person to cease participation in the ICR Sues Texas thread, then as a safety measure I removed his posting permissions in the Creation/Evolution In The News forum.
The ICR Sues Texas thread is the kind of news topic where you can depend upon continuing developments over time. I think we'd all be surprised if ICR just gave up their attempts at accreditation and we never heard about this again.

This thread topic: Message 1
...has eventually lead to this point: Message 91 It is a wonder why this topic was ever promoted, and even more astonishing why it has progressed so far without the slightest shred of apparent merit. CrazyDiamond7 has consistently been making bare, unsubstantiated, *insane* claims without any sign of backing them up with anything other than bald assertion. It is a travesty that he hasn't been admonished, its embarrassing that the thread remains open, and disappointing that there have been no repercussions for its infliction on the community.

I have mostly stayed away from that thread, and most of the time I have not been reading posts there. On the few occasions when I have read a post, it looked like completely insane nonsense (which is why I have mostly avoided it).It is a wonder why this topic was ever promoted, and even more astonishing why it has progressed so far without the slightest shred of apparent merit. I somehow have the impression that most other people have also been avoiding it. (And, yes, I am know I am not supposed to engage in discussion in this thread).

nwr writes: I somehow have the impression that most other people have also been avoiding it. Exactly, and my reason for posting in this thread is just that. The reason we have mods and rules here in the first place is so we don't have to skirt around threads or posts like dog poo on the sidewalk.
