i believe that in this case, either thread is probably appropriate.

I think having polls on topics could be interesting. I wasn't sure where to post this so here it is. I don't know anything about what it would take to do this or if it can, maybe it has been suggested before??

Polls are on the todo list. Unfortunately the programming department is understaffed.

What jar said was on topic, directly responsive to something someone else said, and in a Coffee House thread fer Christ's sake. I agree, I often make short comments or answers...admin should look at the context of msg and use common sense, I have seen much worse and probably have done worse...I am trying to learn what is expected of me in order to participate in a meaningful way...although I am sure I will slip...especially if I let emotions get involved. I would also like to echo all of the above sentiments. Brevity is a desired virtue in a world of fluff and filler. I say kudos to Adminnemooseus (if I remember correctly). It was about time for Admin action. You don't realize the amount of this sort of nonsense you get from Jar when you're on the receiving end of it, being dogged 24/7 by him no matter what topic you're engaged in. Jar almost always, if not always, makes sure to get in the last word in debates with me, whether or not he has anything worth saying.

This is the third time Jar has repeated the same ole one liners, which I have addressed in previous messages.

It seems he is repeating them because you refuse to address them. How about responding to him? {Content hidden. Not a discussion topic. - Adminnemooseus} Edited by Adminnemooseus, : Content hidden. Not a discussion topic.

In the mean time, I suggest admins look over the latter debate messages relative to this and make a determination. {Content hidden. ID and Creationism works in an opposite way they have a "theory" <--- wrong. frako i hope you are in the process of a re-write for your "Why creationism and ID are not science' topic. it appears you are under many misconceptions about how conclusions are formed and why ID actually follows the same pricnicples. Get that re-write a move on, holmes Dawn Bertot {Content hidden. Not a discussion topic. - Adminnemooseus} Edited by Dawn Bertot, : No reason given. Edited by Dawn Bertot, : No reason given. frako i hope you are in the process of a re-write for your "Why creationism and ID are not science' topic. it appears you are under many misconceptions about how conclusions are formed and why ID actually follows the same pricnicples. So creationism follows the scientific method???? Are you sure you want to claim that? Could you back up your claim with any evidence? {Content hidden. Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.

Dr Adequate writes: Agreed. It was a response to speculation about the possibility of the US being hit by a tsunami, in a thread about a tsunami. In the Coffee House. 1) This is not a discussion topic - The here replied to string of messages should not have been here (except for the first one). 2) That said, I'll reply to the end of the series, rather that the first (and proper) part of the series. There is a lot I don't like about the nature of a lot of Jar's messages. But what has resulted in two suspension are "bare links without even having links" type messages. I, and probably most everyone else, needed to Google Jar's supplied phrase to find out what he is talking about. Not proper debate message content and it is a forum rule violation (rule 5). NO REPLIES TO THIS MESSAGE, IN THIS TOPIC - IT WILL RESULT IN A SUSPENSION. If you feel you must respond, go to the General Discussion Of Moderation Procedures (aka 'The Whine List') topic. The relevant "The Public Record" suspension announcement. Note the there link to the previous Jar suspension announcement. Edited by Adminnemooseus, : See above.

in my genesis 1:1 thread, ICANT is beginning to bring up his (clearly nonsensical) gap "theory" "interpretations" of creation as told in genesis. the topic is not how to interpret the text so much as it is how to read the text, and properly translate it. should that proper reading preclude (or mandate) certain interpretations, oh well. but those are not the focus of the discussion. this would, however, be an interesting idea for a new topic, but i think ICANT would have start it and present his exegesis/interpretations/whatever.
i do not wish to have this topic dragged away from the subject of translation. Edited by arachnophilia, : typo |
