One of our better Presidents, particularly when it came to foreign relations, was a Jimmy.

Jimmy and Timmy just raise up images of the respective South Park characters.
...who I submit could each do a better job in the Presidency and embarrass the nation to a lesser degree than Michelle Bachman or Sarah Palin.

This is getting terrible OT in an otherwise great thread, but dont mind if i do;
Monty Python writes:
Arthur: What manner of man are you that can summon up fire without flint or tinder?
Tim: I... am an enchanter.
Arthur: By what name are you known?
Tim: There are some who call me... 'Tim'...?
Arthur: ...greetings, Tim the Enchanter.
Seems like a better US president than the current and the last couple of decades of bastards.

only in cartoons .....
Im not saying that jimmy or timmy names make you incapable to be president its just too funny if you are
A name for an us president has to be special like bush you immediately think of pu.....
or exotic like Obama, or a ql shortened version like J.F.K
Tim just dosent cut it

The only question is: What's on the other side of the fence?
A guy who is presumably a shoe-in for his party's nomination.
Don't worry, there will eventually be an Even More Awesome Presidential Election Thread, but for now it's all about the Republicans.

Michele Bachmann dox
PolitiFact has a great profile on Michele Bachmann.
| PolitiFact
They do a pretty good job of revealing lies from prominent politicians, Democrats and Republicans alike.
I don't think she (Bachmann) has any chance of getting elected. And dead Michael Palin would have a better shot than Sarah Palin.
As for the other republicans, i really dont think they have a chance either. It will be 4 more years of Obama, which isent good, but atleast it's not as bad as 4 new years with another current candidate.

Let me put it this way, if I had to choose between Michelle Bachmann & Donald Duck, I'd choose Donald Duck, more common sense.

Michael Palin isn't dead. Perhaps you were thinking of Graham Chapman.
Michael Palin would undoubtedly do a better job than Sarah Palin, but for him to actually have a better shot would require amending the Constitution. I fear there's a better chance of Sarah the Stupid getting elected than there is of the Constitution being amended to allow a foreign born president, especially now that Ahnold has gotten his nuts caught in a wringer.

Surely some of the boards local conservatives would like to defend their presidential hopefuls......

Re: No local Conservatives???
I'm fairly conservative and I don't want any of those people to be president. I'd be fine with 4 more years of Uncle Barry...

Tim? Theodore? Jimmy?

Here comes the commander and chief of the worlds most powerful military the president of the united states of America here comes TIMY!!
Theodore seems an odd name to me, only two first come to mind and one has Alvin and Simon as brothers.
Now Theodoric, I can understand, it's very Goth.
