What is the best thread you have seen here at EvC? Do you know of any "must read" topics? Ones where the quality of debate was exceptionally noteworthy or the arguments made so utterly comprehensive that a seemingly unresolvable issue could be considered resolved?
Any that have made you drastically change your mind about something?
Any threads where you think your own performance was so fantastic that you would like to bring them to everyone elses attention?

The first showing of member "Truthlover"
It seems much longer ago, that the admin-mode got this topic started. Alas, it has gone nowhere.
Back in the "Your First Ever EVC Post" topic, I cited Truthlover's first message:
Truthlover's first message was to start the home school evolution questions topic.
He started message 1 with:
Truthlover writes:
I am a teacher in a church home school. I've done some research on the evolution/creation debate, and I am making my science students (ages 14-17) do the same. I wrote the following defense of young earth creationism, and then I asked them to respond to it (from an evolutionist viewpoint). Since I had to give them time in class to respond, my presentation had to be short and thus pretty incomplete. I would like to give them responses from more educated evolutionists to compare with their own, as I'm no expert on this subject. I realize the average evolutionist won't care to address the Bible parts of my paper, but if you could answer the other parts, it would really help me. It's one type written page, which is too long for this format, but I promise not to make a habit of that.
Much more of that message 1 to be found at the cite.
What, to me, got the topic off to such an interesting start was that some evo side members jumped all over Truthlover, as being a YEC.

Bump - There must be things to add to this topic
Find those topics and add them to this list.
I guess I'll also try making this a sticky topic in the "Cpffee House".

Was up pretty boy? Hope all is well with the family.
I thought Has the supernatural hypothesis failed? was pretty awesome. Some good posts there to read, especially yours and Mod's. From the other side of the camp, CS put up a good fight.
I personally had the most fun in the Gender and Humor thread. My battles with Rrhain were a blast, and some funny stuff was said there.
But if it can be said that I 'won' anything, obviously the World Cup thread is where I showed off the best when I predicted Spain would win. Putting to shame all of you euro folk who thought you knew more about soccer than this American.

That is a no-brainer: Age Correlations and An Old Earth, Version 2 No 1
I, like other mere mortals, can not praise this thread as much as it deserves.

All good. One is learning to walk. The other is learning to read. In neither case am I referring to Mrs Sraggler. So all is well.

I enjoyed that one too. I enjoy all of those type of threads. If I didn't I wouldn't keep starting them.

I gots a day job now, like a big boy. Comedy related, so it's not a drag. It has put the freeze on the UK trip, just for the moment. Plus Al got some TBS show which starts filming soon, so that too has slowed us down.
All good. One is learning to walk. The other is learning to read. In neither case am I referring to Mrs Sraggler. So all is well.
LOL! That's a beautiful thing. Soon they'll be texting you like mine do...when they need cash. Of course.
I enjoyed that one too. I enjoy all of those type of threads. If I didn't I wouldn't keep starting them.
As far as threads go, I do give you a prize (maybe I should add this to the Oscar's thread) for best topic ideas.
Shall we talk about Patrice some more?
I've seen him since then. I can't bring myself to tell him about our nerdy discussion involving that video. I think he would call me a fag for it.
It still hurts......
It better.
