Admin to PD writes: I like the smilies idea, ...... Well, guess what? There's a new system with "like/dislike" beside the posts, so you could have clicked on a thumb up icon, and activated PD's ratings. I'll do it instead, although I'm indifferent to the smilies, and I'll do it for the other people on this thread who haven't been activated yet, regardless of what they're saying. Could someone please do it for this post, as it's my first since the system came in. I can't comment on the future of the system yet, and how it will work, but congratulations on one thing. It seems that the past ratings will no longer be anonymous. So the people who were receiving lots of "ones" will know where to direct their revenge! The results could be amusing.

Modulous writes: I can only see the thumbs for other people. My own posts the thumb-ups and downs I receive are hidden. Same for me. Also, when I rated three posts above, I had to use "refresh" each time to make it work. It was giving the "error on page" sign.

Neat, I have a negative member rating; that's interesting.

Mod and Bluegenes,
First, make sure you've clicked on refresh/reload. There's new Javascript and CSS that won't load otherwise. I see that Bluegenes says he has done it repeatedly. If that doesn't help then please let me know which browser and version you're using.

I've tried it at different computers with much forced refreshes. I see the thumbs on other people's posts, just not my own. I'm on Firefox 5.0.

Correct. They are the voting buttons and so won't show on yours.

Correct. They are the voting buttons and so won't show on yours. Not the buttons, the indication as to the fact that someone has up or down thumbed me.
On the left is what I see as AdminMod. On the right, that is what I see as Mod. As Mod I cannot see the {thumbs up} (1) graphic indicating that someone has 'thumbed up' my post. Obviously I don't need 'send private message' or the voting buttons, but I'd at least like to know if someone gave me kudos or curses for a post!

Still exactly the same problem as Mod. I'm on Explorer 8.
I've checked some past posts that I knew to have ratings on, and nothing shows. I can see everyone elses.

I wasn't getting it before but I see now, thanks for the images and for reporting this. This should now be fixed. Let me know if you still see a problem.

Seems fixed. I can see the two ratings on my post further up the page. Well done!

Little nit pick. You have Like/Dislike, but the hands are Dislike and then Like. Just a consistency thing. +1 to this. Like then dislike is also the way round that other sites - such as YouTube - have it and since I presume it'd be a very simple change it would be nice to have it reversed.

I can't vote with Internet Explorer. When I click on the Like icon, it just says "Error on Page" in the bar at the bottom.
It seems to be working just fine with Chrome.

Thanks for reporting this, I'll try to fix it tonight.
Is this IE6 or a later version?
