Almost as scary as the rest of the speech.

Re: Bachmann crazier than crazy.....
It really pisses me off when I am forced to defend those I would rather be berating, so please check your sources. Un-fucked-about-with video:
and it all becomes clear. No racist question. No band called "White People Funk Band" or whatever. It's "who likes wet people?".
ABE: Just a quick comment from the festival blog:
quote:
We even had a blind lady named Terri who brought her children to the festival on Friday, in the rain, and then agreed to bring them back on Saturday.
just in case anyone was wondering whether it really was wet or not...
Edited by cavediver, : Agh, managed to use the doctored video - correct video now in place

Re: Bachmann crazier than crazy.....
Even though it's been pointed out that this is doctored I'm still strck by the fact that a background in politics seems less important than being able to rouse the rabble in that America.

Re: Bachmann crazier than crazy.....
What makes me wonder is if it was really necessary to doctor that video in this way? I mean, the rest of the content should show she's a crazy woman anyway.

It's "who likes wet people?".
Thanks. That makes more sense. The "white" seemed completely out of context. The "wet" fits what else is going on.
I'm no fan of Bachman, but we do need to be honest in our criticisms. We don't need doctored videos.

Bachman drill baby drill! Perry pray baby pray
I just read a article where Bachman advocates the elimination of the EPA.
WTF???? Meet the Neocons, they want you to work more, earn less and pay taxes. They want to privatize SS in order to create weath for investment banks, They want to strip the US for fuel, contaminate our water suppy and fund more in oil. WTF??? Meet gov Perry, a wealthy anti education, cessesionist moron who will pray the US into fiscal solvancy. The fact that anyone is taking these two as viable candidates is spooky. Obama is to progressive and measured to be president. We need a liberal kook to drag the bell curve back to center imo.

Of course, how else are we going to get $2.00 a gallon gas. Then we can open all the ANWR, drill for natural gas off NC, the wreckage from destroyed production platforms makes for great fishing spots. After our latest hurricane there would probably be several new ones. Nothing to draw tourist like the sight of drill/production platforms to look at while watching the sunrise.

Teaparty less popular than atheist
quote:
Polls show that disapproval of the Tea Party is climbing. In April 2010, a New York Times/CBS News survey found that 18 percent of Americans had an unfavorable opinion of it, 21 percent had a favorable opinion and 46 percent had not heard enough. Now, 14 months later, Tea Party supporters have slipped to 20 percent, while their opponents have more than doubled, to 40 percent.
Of course, politicians of all stripes are not faring well among the public these days. But in data we have recently collected, the Tea Party ranks lower than any of the 23 other groups we asked about lower than both Republicans and Democrats. It is even less popular than much maligned groups like atheists and Muslims. Interestingly, one group that approaches it in unpopularity is the Christian Right.
Too funny... Is there anyone in the Teaparty that isn't a member of the christian right?

WTF????
As loony as it sounds, Mr. Ratio, that idea is really popular in some circles.
Many folks consider conservation and environmental concerns to be anti-American doom and gloom talk that doesn't make them feel good. They want to hear that America is Number One, baby. They'll go for anything else including dirty air, ground water full of carcinogens and methane, killing off grandma's safety net, or global warming as long as the policy sounds more like John Wayne than Al Gore.
Now that Osama is dead, some consider the EPA to be public enemy number 2, right behind the ACLU. I don't expect the EPA to be closed down, but it is going to be less effective for the forseeable future no matter who gets elected.
